Now that I've taken the time to read the thread I feel bad for saying what I did. What I meant to say is, at the time I logged in, there was only one other person around. If mIRC doesn't work for you XChat is pretty decent though personally I use ERC.

Just curious why you don't use an IRC hosting service like Freenode, or SDF? Is this a cost issue, control issue, or some other issue? Personally, I think it would make a lot of sense if there were an irc.lusternia.com server and that way you could keep everything under one roof, so to speak.

Anyhow, these aren't criticisms, just me being curious.

Edit: Then I did a search on deathwyrm.net and got a Google 404. I take it then that Google is providing your IRC service? So, that's one question answered. smile.gif

Lusternia never hosted the IRC channel, it's just something a few players started and then moved on from. There was a time when a few gods hung out there but they were taken out after a while. It was decidedly unofficial.

All the chatting is in one place: lusternia.com, port 23. People talk OOC to each other in the game all the time. IRC was just nice because people who didn't normally talk one-on-one in the game would get into a group discussion.
