Okay, cosmic map is finished (until Terentia/other gods get their God Realms at least!).
Interestingly, Raezon has the same aetherspace environment as Maylea (shown on the Scrying Pool wiki page), which I think is cute! Still, I bugged it just in case they aren't a couple...
Elemental is next! (No bloody wonder I couldn't find Xion in primespace )

Incidentally, why do Elemental and Cosmic planes (and possibly Astral now, I haven't been back there yet) have dragon infested void-space, but not Ethereal? How does that work... Ethereal is the only space protected from contact with the Void?

Cosmic looking good
Although I'm struggling imaginatively here... Anorexic Squirrel with Nut Cluster after Falling into Acid?
Yay!!! I have been waiting forever for you to update the elemental map! I stumbled upon Xion by accident on the first day it was released... and I have continued to stumble there by accident each and every visit since...

Too many black-dragon-spawning opportunities on the way to Xion these days. So tragic.

This is why I use a shard.

Updated the first post to refer to the Scrying Pool version of the Elemental map, but keep checking back. This is going to take a while...

Yay, finally reached Xion without death somewhere along the way. If you check the first post, Elemental is starting to be revealed... Xion is the area in the top left.
I don't really know what this area in the top right is, it seems to be a placeholder without a bubble! Poor sod.

Avaer: Will you be adding labels to your map?

After I've finished the planes, I might try to do so, but generally I'm not very good artistically.

Maylea's area now has the hamsa which I suspect was always intended for there (never made sense Lisaera's area got two and Maylea's got zero, and the hamsa's iridescence and multicoloured light seem to suit Maylea). I've updated Scrying Pool accordingly. It's still "burgeoning rift" which still also looks Maylean.
I suspect that Raezon's area is probably not "burgeoning rift" anymore by now (as I agree that was probably a bug), but I can't get anyone to tell me what it is, and I can't get there myself to find out. Also can't find what its aethercritter is.
Also, no one's reported what creatures (if any) are in Shikari's area.
If anyone knows these things and can update Scrying Pool accordingly, that would be great.

Nevermind, I was able to find them. Those pages are now updated with Charune's, Raezon's, Elostian's, and Shikari's godrealm's aetherspace areas and denizens. I also added the names of the godrealm aetherbubbles themselves. Nocht still doesn't have one, is that right? Or is He just being sneaky and silent again? Also, how about Terentia?

Any updates to the maps in the works? The path into Cankermore on the prime map doesn't quite match anymore. The elemental map appears to be a work in progress.
Is there a map of the Parallax arena? The layout was just recently updated.
I'd be happy to explore (and die) but I have no idea how to take the game's output and put it into a map. And being on a Mac using TinyFugue, any plugins people use I probably can't...
Super, super thanks for the maps as they are now. I can plot exact courses on them in advance which saves a tremendous amount of time, and many deaths as well!

Over near the rift to the Elemental Plane.

Avaer doesn't seem to be around and no one else has taken up the challenge of updating the maps. Anyone want to volunteer?

How does one even go about mapping aetherspace?
Lendren2009-07-18 20:48:28
Avaer had some zMUD scripting that generated those maps, I never really found out how. I suppose without that, we'd need someone to either reinvent that, or simply take the maps we have and tweak them in a picture editing program.
