Pondering...

Back to Common Grounds.

Oi, hey Vionne! Good to hear you're coming back - if not on Vionne, but coming back anyway. Well, I have heard only good things about Spiritsingers even though I dislike the atmosphere in Serenwilde. Magnagora and Nihilists or Geomancers are cool as well if you are looking for interesting rp.

Vionne, you can be successful whichever city/commune you join. Although, New Celest's culture is pretty crappy (speaking as a Celestian). It doesn't mean you can't enjoy yourself as a writer/playwright, because Celest's culture is crappy.

*two cents*

1. have fairly decent, solid leadership so I won't get sucked into high positions
2. encourage involvement in the libraries and culture competitions like the plays.
3. aren't overwhelmingly large and filled with ooc/snuggly niceness.

Come2Mag! I'll shower you with library, culture and theatre love! worthy.gif

Magnagora has amazing culture.
Saaga2009-01-08 20:38:14
Bah, the forums froze on me. Doublepost.

Celest has little active culture creators, but we're working on making the city better. So if you want a challenge (we are trying to encourage more writers) Celest would be a good option.

Come back to Glomdoring!

If you want a small community, you can't get smaller than Glom.
OOC/Snugglyness - we mostly hate each other anyways, so you wont see much of that (just kidding...)
We're working on our culture - so you can write as much as you'd like
Yay leadership change! Lots of politics going on, but you don't have to get involved

Which of the guilds have better "utility" skills? I always loved the bard travel abilities, but I'd want to try a different archetype this time around. And I certainly have little intention of PKing.

For utility I'd proabably say either Monks or Guardians.

Tarot has more utility then you can shake a stick at, Astrology helps to make up for weak offense in hunting with a powerful defense if you prefer that, Sacraments lets you buff yourself up like a crazy man, Necromancy gives you some nifty abilities that can help you get out of bad spots.

Monks have Stealth and Harmony, both of which can be quite useful. Acrobatics and Psymet are both excellent in terms of DMP and getting around (gliding, sprinting, alairtricy or however you spell it), Psymet can go through doors, Acrobatics has all sorts of stuff, ecetera, ecetera.

Well, if you want good utility skills, dont go druid. First off we suck on bashing, and don't really have any utility skills to speak of, except for hunting - pathfind. Pathfinding is so useful, I use it all the time.

Most good utility abilities are in general skills or tertiary skills.

Edit: Yeah, what he said

Awwww! Come back to 'bingers!

You can trust me not to totally rope you into guild work and guild leadership positions, really! pureevil.gif

I lie. Flee from me if you don't want to be made my slave!
Shiri2009-01-09 01:52:33
Monks are -not- good for utility compared to bards. If you don't want to try bards, you might like tarot celestine, they have hermit, catacombs for transport and a couple other things.

Woah, I've yet to even start play Lusternia and I'm already starting to have dreams about Lusternia! In text form, no less!
I was dreaming that I was asking about the domoths, and someone replied. I was so caught up in the replies that I didn't notice who was the person, and then, I realised that it was Shayle! Then I woke up, and realised that I was having a dream!

@Silferras: Heh, yea, I remember that Glomdoring seemed to have many Singaporeans.
@Synl: Yea, I <3 you much too.
