It's a fairly difficult decision for me to draw, but I think it is finally time that I step away from Lusternia and move on to new things. I won't be logging in again at all after I've said my farewells tonight, and as soon as my mafia game has finished I will no longer be on the forums either. It's been an absolute pleasure playing this game over the last 4 and a bit years (corr, that's a bloomin' long time!) I remember creating Soll on the first day of Open Beta and being unbelievably excited. I instantly transferred from Aetolia where I had played probably 90% of my time in newbiehood because I was always creating and casting off characters! I decided I would just stick with one for Lusternia, and I'm so glad that I did. Though I had a hell of a time getting used to the new game; I remember asking what 'power' and 'feats' were. That hardly seems like all that long ago, but it really is.

I've been through a whole lot whilst playing Lusternia and I can't say I've always enjoyed it as one would hope to from, say, a casual game, but I don't regret any of my experiences. Particular events that stand out in my head: marrying Narsrim (and consequently divorcing... ), getting Perriwinkle and Butter together, Xion exploding, ascending to become Ayridion and both the harassment and enjoyment of that role, descending to become Ilyarin, and plenty of other things.

I don't do things like this very well so that's all I really think I can say in general. However, a few things for specific people.

* Xiel - There's really nothing to say here I don't think. You know how I feel about you and that this is making me really sad to leave you. It feels like a betrayal! You've been a treasured husband IC and a needed friend OOC.

* Malicia - I think I've taken you for granted far too much. You've been as close as family to me over the last four years and dealt with my (multitudinous) ups and downs with patience and delicacy. You're completely like a big sister to me. You've put up with my disappearing acts and accepted me back without blinking, and you always told me what I needed to hear in a way that I wanted to hear it.

* Narsrim - . You know how to push my buttons but you only do it when I really need to be put in my place. I love your little stories, as well. You've really helped me grow as a person.

* Nirrti - You're brilliant. Just, that's all there is to say really. Absolutely superb! I loved your company both as Ayridion and Ilyarin.

* Metea - Same again. Fabulous roleplayer and completely dedicated! Even put up with me when I had a little stumble in a most compassionate manner.

* Ekard - Fantastic brother. Good to see you back!

* Reiha - Just, .

I could go on like that for a while, but I would be repeating myself I fear. So many of you have made an impact on my life today and I think the forum would limit my post if I went on to say special things to you all. I'm sure I'll forget some, but here's an attempt. In no particular order, thank you to: Aison, Ardmore, Lorina, Silimaur, Fareneth, Nydekion, Catarin, Garosho, Jasato, Talkan, Lyren, Meliana, Ibaesha, Nejii, Shuyin, Lendren, Ialie, Shayle, Tully, Wuylinfe, Jigan, Richter, Daganev, Ashteru, Sipelus, Airyn, Trias, Ryleth, more more more but I can't think of them right now .

I also feel the need to say a MASSIVE thank you to the Lusternia Admin: Estarra, Eventru, Maylea, the first incarnation of Isune, Viravain, Elostian, Terentia, Roark, Charune, Fain, Morgfyre ( hope you're having fun..! ), Lisaera, Lyreth. Everyone really!

Oh, pish. Now, I could've sworn I already poked you about this, so it's hardly a betrayal since you'd still be seeing me all the time. Just not in the game.

And I know it's great that you're moving on to better things, so I doubt anyone would hold that against you. I won't be missing anything since the oh so lovely MSN is there, so you stop worrying that you would!

I really don't know what to say. I don't want you to leave, but at the same time, I understand that sometimes Lusternia can really get in the way of real life. Thankfully, the friendships we build here often stay with us even if we aren't playing Lusternia anymore (and in my case, it damn well better!).

I hope you find peace outside of Lusternia. Remember big deep breaths, and remember the good times you got from this game. Though you're probably not aware completely, I'm sure you've learned some valuable things. I didn't know you too well, but I know you are a good person. I hope only the best for your future.
