I hate that idea that you must ascend a non-Demi in order to build a zerg in the Domoth zone. Its all about who plays, who will do the most with their skills, who will make the best ascendant and cause your enemies even more hassle with the skills. Admittedly, there are some very useless ascendants who have no idea wtf they are doing but Thoros knows what he is doing as a Demi, making him ascendant will only be making things worse. But of course I am ready for us to bring in more power and raise our next because there was no debate that Thoros would be raised, that was known, the real contest will be to see who becomes our next.

And so its known, Nariah was mentioned to be raised for RP purposes more than once. Its wierd that Mag is the one who wants to do things for RP or non-powergaming purposes, eh?

I love RP so much when people take the time to do little things like this. Because raising an Ascendant is such a big deal, there should be some sort of ceremony. Well done!

I've been to one of each now. Celest did a ceremony for Malicia, Thoros had one. The communes were fairly tame.

I really enjoyed being a part of Malicia's, though I wish I could have been there for Thoros'.

IMO Thoros was the best person to ascend, he already is the heart of Magnagora at present and it would only increase that effect.

During this event, I realized that almost the entirety of Magnagora has the attention span of a five year-old, but also that they all need a course in Rituals 101.

For those who weren't there, apparently my guild novices as well as a senior member of the guild were quite tired, and fell asleep. Or Lehki was using his mad dreamweaver skills. Either one.

I don't know about everyone else, but the Geomancers got told Thoros was going to Ascend right now and they were expected to honor him with some sort of ceremony 10 minutes before it actually happened.

The way I found out was very exciting. It was over Jhagar. I was browing the web, I come back to a bunch of clan tells.

Me: What's going on?

Romero: We're doing a ritual to raise Thor.

Me: Oooh neat. What's the ritual? I liked Celest's where each guild blessed the Ascendant.

Nariah: We're doing that. Only in Magnagora we bless by killing.

Me: Lol, Thoros is killing people?

Romero: One from each guild.

Me: Oh, he is sacrificing Iorden?
