While Fain is awesome and I have written a book for him since joining his order, I always liked the other gods of Magnagora as well. Legion for his 'consume everything and make it yours' attitude which would be fun to RP, and Raezon for his 'dark scholar who can seduce angels' deal.
Romero could have followed any of the gods and each would make him entirely different and I blame Fain's impact for making him as hateful and disrespectful as he can be. When offered a place with Raezon, (I am not sure if he was fake or not, seeing as he was one of the better roleplayed gods throughout the event), Romero took a chance and offered himself.
Real or not, I hope Raezon makes a comeback, it should definately be fun. And even if he doesn't, I wish he would have made me side against some mags or gloms in the end of the world event. I would have loved to kill some and been like 'Raezon made me do it.'
This happened before the end of the world bit, I just saved it so that way if things happened where I had to betray or act on my own orders, that others wouldn't know what I was doing or for what reasons. Hope you all like.

Raezon, the Forbidden ponders you thoughtfully, looking you up and down.
Before an unsteady descent into darkness. (Great Illithoid Prison.)
The shadowy outline of a twisted forest casts a dark gloom here. Akin to a
serpentine foot, a small pier stands out from the black-walled tunnel, midnight
blocks shimmering like pitch scales, leaning precariously over a great reservoir
of an infinitely dark fluid, roiling incessantly. Descending frightfully, a
narrow stairway falls downwards at the end of the path, consumed by the
ever-bubbling surface of the reservoir's contents. A caustic scent impregnates
the bitter wind that runs through the area with foul retribution, a complex
aroma filled inherently with antagonistic despair, erratically sickening the air
with an imposing sense of anguish. Mushrooms are growing here in a perfect
circle. There are 2 illithoid ravagers here. Cyaratalegur, Overseer of the
Reservoir of Darkness, observes the bubbling viscous lake below, his white flesh
pulsing with blue veins. Raezon, the Forbidden is enshrouded in a pale aura of
azure flame that wreathes His body with energy. He wields a Blade of Night,
glowing darkly in His left hand and a Blade of Day, glowing brightly in His
right.
You see exits leading southwest and down.
You grovel in the dirt before Raezon, the Forbidden.
Smiling darkly, Raezon, the Forbidden says, "You grovel where you should,
mortal."
Raezon, the Forbidden says, "What is your name?"
You say, "Romero, Fist of Luciphage. Dark Lord Raezon."
His voice a soft hiss, Raezon, the Forbidden says, "Times of despair come,
Romero."
You say, "As always My lord, I will face them headstrong and destroy those in
our path. Or hinder them so your dark will might be done."
Raezon, the Forbidden says, "So you would serve me?"
Raezon, the Forbidden says, "Magnagora will fall in these dark times, Romero. So
shall Serenwilde and New Celest, and Glomdoring."
Raezon, the Forbidden says, "I seek to forge a new era, for those who are so
worthy to serve My greatness."
You say, "I would serve those three worthy of serving with Magnagora. Legion,
the Masque, and of course, your darkest will Lord Raezon. You especially who
knows the forbidden knowledges."
You say, "I sought you in my youth, but you went unseen for so long."
Raezon, the Forbidden says, "Yes..."
An edge of excitement in His voice, Raezon, the Forbidden says, "Imagine it,
Romero. A vast kingdom of power, of untold and infinite knowledge."
Smiling abit in response, his head lowered out of respect all the while, you
say, "Of course, Dark Lord."
Softly, Raezon, the Forbidden says, "Serve me, and serve me above all others.
Should Fain and Morgfyre join me, all the better. Else, they may fall into their
fallow fields, and struggle uselessly."
Raezon, the Forbidden says, "If you wish to survive, you will join me, as those
who have before you."
Responding more quietly as well, you say, "Lord Fain has seemed to be off
lately, my lord. I doubt his sanity at times... but you, you speak wisely and
your words are tempting."
Raezon, the Forbidden says, "We shall forge an army with which to bring an end
to all things but ourselves. We shall enslave these creatures of Light and
Forests, and they shall kneel and do Me obedience."
You say, "Just as you tempted the angel, I will bow and do as you wish. And you
will have your kingdom and should you deem me worthy so long
as I will be remembered for being one who brought it to you."
You kneel before Raezon, the Forbidden, swearing your allegiance to him.
Raezon, the Forbidden smiles slightly, bowing His head but an inch.
Raezon, the Forbidden says, "What would you have in return, Romero?"
Romero keeps his head lowered, eyes to the ground.
Raezon, the Forbidden says, "Others have requested small gifts, dark agreements,
forged in return for their guaranteed service."
You say, "I would have recognition, to be known for my might and strength.
Marked as an avatar and known throughout the realms to be feared and hated and
respected by all."
Raezon, the Forbidden smiles slightly, and then nods.
Raezon, the Forbidden says, "So be it. Come the day that I sit upon the throne
of My newly forged empire, vast and dark and beautiful, I shall mark you as My
avatar."
You stand up and stretch your arms out wide.
The corners of your mouth turn up as you grin mischievously.
Raezon, the Forbidden says, "So be it. This shall be our agreement, Romero."
Rising to his feet, his head still lowered, you say, "Of course, Dark Lord. In
the time now, what must be done?"
Raezon, the Forbidden says, "Wait eagerly for the time to come. There shall be a
great disaster, and all shall be thrown to the ground - and you, you shall serve
me, answer my call."
You say, "As you say, Lord."
Raezon, the Forbidden touches a Blade of Night, glowing darkly and is instantly
consumed by a dense fog.

Oh god! Jealous Fain.
Psh, everyone knows Fain won me over when he came down and was like TRUEFAVOR FOR YOU when I wasn't even in his order. Then said he saw potential in Romero and then left him. And Romero was awestruck.
Also who can forget the classic mistypes and the 'Learn more Planar, Romero' in response to getting rezzed from a Celestia raid.
And not sure if it was the same Fain behind our Fain but raiding Celestia, Fain being there and going 'Do you kill, my minions.' 'Yes, Lord.' 'Then I will kill with you.'

Wowza, looks like great fun, even if you may have sold your soul to a non-god!

Raezon always was my favorite. But he disappeared so I went with Fain.
Fain = win, though.

Magnagora RP looks like a lot of fun. I'm almost tempted to switch cities.
Congrats, Romero on Avatar.

Thats the thing! No idea if its fake or not. Raezon met with tons of others from Magnagora and was actually rp'd out instead of being forced into the mold of killing people over and over. I don't know if he is fake or not and I didn't want to do the standard 'assume all gods are fake since we are in an event' logic. I assumed all gods were real unless they proved otherwise.
Since he has a temple, I can only hope he will be around and if so, then it will get interesting with those who might be thinking of going to him.

I assumed most of the gods were real until proven fake during the event.
Like my first encounter with imposter Fain, Shaddus was all like 'He's fake!', and that commentary was meant with 'FAKE? FOOL, GROVEL TO YOUR MASTER'. which commenced a smackdown.

Yes, Raezon called for Romero to meet him on spectre isle before the new area was found. We stood and watched the Basin crack and the seas freak out before he sent me to explore the new area.. I think I have part of that log as well. Romero hasn't seen Raezon since the new area since it was found, so judging if he was real or not is something I can't do based on him disappearing then and there.

I think the Raezon everyone ran into was a fake. A couple people noticed little clues, like the swords he wielded. Before Raezon left he put his swords in his temple and, or so I was told, put a seal over them so that only he could take them back out. The swords were still in the temple while Raezon was running around during the event.
But I wonder if we will be seeing a return of Raezon. Things seem to be going that way.

Shame on you admins for getting our hopes up if he doesn't return.
Not only was he so well raezony-style roleplayed, but he also got his temple connected even before Morgfyre did (I AM THE OH AND ACTIVE DAMNIT). Not to mention Ixion's armlet glowed...
Anyhoo, I think majority of us went with the 'innocent until proven guilty' roleplay in regards to the imposters. Personally, I was already alerted of the fake Fain and the slipping in and out of sight Raezon who was making deals with people. I too swore loyalty to him (not without suspicion) just to see what comes out of it and to backstab him later if needed. Sadly, seeing fake Morgfyreas was too much for Nariah not to snap and they apparently shared that with Raezon since he made no further contact with her and only ordered her killed later. The whole idea to have Kethuru eat them kinda worked though! I choose you Kethchoo!

QUOTE
A single pinpoint of azure fire manifests itself before you and in a soundless explosion sends searing lancelets of cold flame throughout the area as Raezon bursts into existance.
Raezon, the Forbidden inclines his head politely to those around him.
You open your mouth to say something, but speech fails you.
Quietly, Raezon, the Forbidden says, "Speechless, Heresiarch?"
Kneeling, her eyes on the ground, her voice somewhat uncertain, you say, "Lord Raezon.."
Raezon, the Forbidden says, "It is I, yes. Your voice quivers as though you believe your eyes deceive you."
Nariah looks up slowly from the ground, mixed expression of disbelief and suspicion on her face.
Softly, Raezon, the Forbidden says, "You do not believe it is me."
Slowly, with a touch of boldness returning to her voice, you say, "You will forgive me... Lord, but I am unused to the avatars I would pray to every night in my youth to suddenly appear before me, having been gone for decades."
Raezon, the Forbidden chuckles softly, a dark smile playing across His lips.
Nariah looks from one blade to the other, somewhat reassured.
Softly, Raezon, the Forbidden says, "Disaster is going to come."
Nariah looks as if she was to say something but closes her mouth, a sombre look on her features.
You ask, "A disaster, my Lord? Can you tell me more..?"
Raezon, the Forbidden says, "Yes, I can."
Raezon, the Forbidden smiles darkly, glancing about for a moment, casually taking in His surroundings.
Raezon, the Forbidden says, "The lands shall be torn asunder, Nariah."
Raezon, the Forbidden says, "The seas shall boil with a crimson glow."
Raezon, the Forbidden says, "The forests shall fall beneath a plague of beast and that which haunts their dreams."
Nariah cants her head, listening intently, suspicion gone from her eyes.
Raezon, the Forbidden says, "And mortal kind shall become extinct."
Raezon, the Forbidden says, "The Engine shall sink into the earth, Nariah. There will be nothing left of it."
Thoughtfully, you say, "Ends shall fray on weavers' threads... so the Verses said."
Frowning, you ask, "What... how Lord? What brings those disasters?"
Raezon, the Forbidden says, "I do not know, but it is why I have returned."
Smiling darkly, Raezon, the Forbidden says, "There is no stopping them. Only surviving them."
Her eyes glittering, softly, you say, "So there is hope?"
Nodding slowly, Raezon, the Forbidden says, "Only if you wish to have hope."
Raezon, the Forbidden says, "Out of this chaos, this madness, I shall forge an empire of my own. From the ashes shall rise a new order, a new land."
His eyes glittering darkly, Raezon, the Forbidden says, "Serve me, Nariah."
Biting down on her lip painfully, you ask, "There is always hope, the Wheel of Rebirth shall not falter to push the Basin onto another path, better path for it will be a new path. If such is to be. We have survived once, we survive again. But I serve He Who Is Many, Lord, how would you have me serve You whilst I do that?"
Raezon, the Forbidden smiles softly.
Raezon, the Forbidden says, "Simply be ready, and know that the Legion shall serve alongside me as well."
Raezon, the Forbidden says, "Should he not, he will fall. There will be no salvation for those who follow him."
Raezon, the Forbidden exclaims, "I offer you a chance for power, Nariah!"
Her eyes suddenly lighting up, as if not hearing the rest, you ask, "The Legion would return?"
Raezon, the Forbidden says, "Yes, he does."
Mournfully, to herself, you say, "He slumbers... He doesn't see us."
Softly, Raezon, the Forbidden says, "Then why serve Him?"
Raezon, the Forbidden says, "I am right before you."
Nariah lays a hand upon her stomach where the sigil of ouroboros curls around her navel protectively.
Raezon, the Forbidden says, "I shall forge an empire, Nariah, from the ashes of this world. It shall be vast and filled with power - power for those who wish to grab it. Infinite power, and untold knowledge."
Raezon, the Forbidden says, "Anything you wish to know shall be at your fingertips."
Closing her eyes, murmuring, you say, "Because He is the Gate and Key to life eternal, through Him we blossom and survive."
Frowning, Raezon, the Forbidden says, "There shall not be eternal life for those who cast aside my offer."
Raezon, the Forbidden says, "Morgfyre shall come, and he shall serve beside me."
Smiling darkly, Raezon, the Forbidden says, "Kneel, do me homage, and serve in the trials to come."
Nariah opens her eyes suddenly as she clutches at the sigil, alertness returning to her face.
Quietly, you ask, "Where is Cassana, Lord?"
Raezon, the Forbidden says, "She rests in my temple."
Nariah flicks her talons against each other, mulling over it.
You ask, "You would not mind if I visited the temple later then, to pay You proper homage?"
Raezon, the Forbidden says, "Consider it, Nariah. You can sit here and mourn the loss of your god, or you can serve one."
Raezon, the Forbidden says, "You can plea for protection from one who will not answer."
Raezon, the Forbidden says, "Or you can have it and more."
Raezon, the Forbidden says, "You wish eternal life? Morgfyre knows nothing but to consume. I keep all of the dark and terrible secrets of this world, I am Raezon, the Forbidden. I know such. I know the secret for eternal life."
Nariah licks over her lips slowly, her eyes narrowed for a moment before she obviously reaches some conclusion.
You prostrate yourself before Raezon, the Forbidden, leaving yourself at his mercy.
Raezon, the Forbidden smiles darkly, nodding slowly.
Raezon, the Forbidden says, "You shall be rewarded, Nariah."
Nariah keeps her eyes on the floor, lying quietly and humbly.
Raezon, the Forbidden says, "Those who have agreed to serve have each requested a boon, one which I shall award them when I am seated upon the throne of my new empire, which shall spread across not just this Basin of Life, but all of Lusternia."
Raezon, the Forbidden says, "You may as well ask for such. What do you desire?"
Pulling herself to her knees, looking up with a faint smirk curling her lips, you say, "To make said empire a theocracy with myself as Your chosen to lead it."
Nariah regards you curiously for a moment before casting her eyes down again modestly.
Raezon, the Forbidden says, "My empire shall indeed be a theocracy, though I shall lead it. If you wish to sit beside me, at my right hand, so be it - you shall be my voice."
Nariah nods slowly in acknowledgement.
Raezon, the Forbidden smiles darkly.
Raezon, the Forbidden says, "Then answer the call when it comes. Drop everything, tell no one. You and the others shall come and know the truth."
Raezon, the Forbidden touches a Blade of Night, glowing darkly and is instantly consumed by a dense fog.
Nariah inhales deeply, her eyes looking somewhere to the side, before she exhales slowly again.
Nariah gathers herself up and dusts off her robes carefully as she mutters to herself, "We'll see about that..."
You murmur softly to yourself.
Raezon, the Forbidden inclines his head politely to those around him.
You open your mouth to say something, but speech fails you.

Yeah, I'm kind of disappointed that they (apparently) ditched the entire Shikari thing as well.

Yeah, I'm kind of disappointed that they (apparently) ditched the entire Shikari thing as well.
Bitterly regretting not discovering Lusternia earlier. Much earlier. Apparently I missed some interesting Gods. =(
