If we're going to nitpick, barrier + most things are strong, but Celestines can't barrier -and- judge. Judge also costs more power than chasm and is -easily- interrupted. Nice try, Romero.

I admittedly don't know all the skills of mages since I just see them doing the same things (egokills or trying to bleed you out) but maybe Dysolis has it too but doesn't know how to use it?
And chasm is stopped as easily as judge. Use a pacifist affliction on the target before the second message. I think prone too.
Though I don't ever try to stop judge since its usually a mob who does it and you can't get up in time. But then again, I am cool with getting rid of barrier, no need to argue with you there, Mali. Just saying both sides do the same thing.

Chasm was nerfed once. it's avoidable easily. Next time try fearaura or POINT GUST AT CEREN. Or hell, even READ DISRUPTION AT CEREN. Bye bye 10p barrier? *shrug*

Fearaura doesn't work in a one exit room with a stonewall that you can't fly in that also cannot be broken. I doubt Ceren is going to be aegis'd by you while sparring you, Thoros. Reading disruption doesn't always work, if the person is smart enough to lock all channels. Assuming you get it in 6s (two reads) and the room is properly prepped, you are still going to have to tumble, which is now 3-4s. Assuming no lag and everything goes perfectly you MIGHT escape. Might being the operative word.
Similarly, how is it not move or die? The only variables that prevent it are: Removing taint (cause it's always in a breakable room), pacify (cause this is a poison and available to every player in the game), killing the person, forcing an action (also available to everyone) and moving yourself or the geomancer. Suppose I could throw Ghost in there, but lately I haven't been able to use that ability. It's a small exaggeration to say move or die, as most of the game doesn't have the abilities that counter it, thus leaving move yourself or the geomancer/die as the option set.
Personally, I'm all for removing unavoidable-without-extremes garbage. This includes adding a 1p cost to Soulless fling so that you can't ez-mode it with uncurable Inquisition.

I, personally, feel that Chasm should cost 40% reserves to cost.
We should also make Inquisition instant for 1p.
And give Judgement to all Celestians.
And give Celestines an ability to instantly rub Soulless 7 times.

chasm is still 12 seconds. 12... the longest timed instakill in the game. once you see it... stop your offense (it takes maybe 2s to recover arm balance? just guessing here) read scroll one or two times and tumble. Bam. I don't see how this is unavoidable in 12 seconds if you pay attention.

I don't like getting judged while in pits. I feel pits + judgement is too strong. Only TK's get barrier; only trackers get pits, and only Geomancers get chasm and only Sacraments has judgement. So I think it's fair to say getting judged in a pit is similar to being chasmed in a barriered room; they are both :censor: and I think group combat combos like this need to be fixed.

not sure why being stabbed in the foot would stop you from raising your staff. On another note Barrier is just an OP skill, designed to gank and screw people really hard. I wouldn't mind seeing Barrier nerfed in fact I think it needs it. But on the other hand, I'm a Glomgoran so make chasm a 3s insta kill please.

I agree that all those combinations are unfair. However, I believe one key point in the original post is that it only takes one individual to use both Barrier and Chasm.
