I agree that all those combinations are unfair. However, I believe one key point in the original post is that it only takes one individual to use both Barrier and Chasm.
We have a winner!
Thoros. Semantics. That's all it is, really. Many combined abilities make for a rough time. Like team necro-sacrifice. I can't judge you in a pit, as a Paladin tracker. A pureblade tracker in any guild can insta-kill you with decap. You can climb out of a pit long before decap would finish. And even still, it's easily stopped by WEB. Can you stop chasm with web? To decap/judge, you can't do anything. I'm sorry but it's not the same situation.

What? Are you high? Tertiary is either tracking or sacraments, not both.
Judges would have accepted Pit and Pureblade Decapitate, but you just earned negative points with that response.
You can also web to stop either, unlike eliminate. Eliminate also exists on a game where gust/mountkick/etc are 100%, not dependent on summon resist.
Malicia2009-01-13 21:44:51
Revan, sweetheart, how long have you been playing this game?
A Paladin can't take sacraments and tracking.
Edit: Meep, ninja'ed.

Okay I pinned him after that line, so that means he started it right before the pin. I only saw the second line. I guess that settles that. I thought he was able to begin the insta-kill while pinned. Me=wrong.

No it doesn't....I had a 2 vs 1 in limbo with Desi/Shuyin. Everytime barrier went up, I was able to escape it. The only way barrier can stay up against an aggressive target is if the mage who is holding the barrier stops their offense to reflesh/shield themselves. Soon as Desitrus dropped his reflect/shielding on me, barrier went almost instantly.

Pretty sure the situation I just described was a prepped room in a demesne. It wasn't even flooded, of course it's going to be easy to walk out of. I also don't have an instakill to start channeling, or you might actually think about spending 6-8 seconds reading disruption. My guess would be that you would just immediately ghost out.
Malicia2009-01-13 22:12:39
Can you ghost out of barrier? I heard evade lets you slip through barrier, but that might not be true.
Unknown2009-01-13 22:21:15

You didn't hammer out an instakill but I spent 6-12 seconds reading disruption anyways for your daggers/barrier.

Which is what I'm saying, channels locked, in a demesne, reflect/shield to a starting point, start my instakill. My guess is you don't bother with reading disruption because if it takes too long and you don't get barrier in time, you die.
I call it eliminate because that's how it exists in the other IRE games. The instakill you can't stop by hindering the person.
