I would post, but my bookcase consists of: Software, old magazines/calvin and hobbes collections, textbooks, binders, videogames, clothing, cooking utensils, the odd collectable.
Actual books are stored on the floor, in my various satchels, or ontop of other furniture.

Is that Twilight I see at the bottom of the shelf, Kashim? Bad.
But it's fun to see what everyone else reads! My books are scattered all over the house, sadly.

It is. What is bad, exactly?

Twilight fans are what really made me hate the books, even though I read them and found them to be meh.
Shiri2009-01-31 05:54:56
Twilight has a pretty active anti-fandom. I'm surprised you didn't know, I found out about them before I actually found out about the books.

I'll post a picture of my Smart Guy books tomorrow. You see, all the intellectual, highbrow books I read are helpfully displayed in a nifty art deco cabinet in my living room. All the Calvin and Hobbes comics and Stephen King books are segregated and hidden in the corner of my bedroom.
Caffrey2009-02-01 00:17:48
I wish I had enough highbrow books to do the same. I have plenty of computing books I could bring back from their storage at work, but that's more nerdy not highbrow
Although, I am not at all ashamed of my Enid Blyton Famous Five collection nor the German Fuenf Freunde translations!
I am slightly ashamed of the four Dan Brown books on my top shelf though. I'm hoping to find a large ornament to put in front of them.

What is that thick, thick book on the bottom left (Ian...)?
While we're at it, what is that unidentified item on the floor next to it?
Yrael2009-02-02 10:04:01
Ian Irvine, Chimaera.
Object on the lower left? That is a bit of paper with some lifts I wanted to work in to my regular workout written on it and a weights glove underneath. Although I haven't worn gloves for about a month now.

Ooh yes I see the pots of paint too. Reminds me of my massive, only part painted, Warhammer High Elf army. I should dig that out some day and finish painting them.
I can only identify one book, the Tolkien on the top left, and only cos I have the same covers on mine
EDIT: wait is that an Eddings top middle? Belgarath?
Arix2009-02-02 10:31:02
What is it, it looks familiar. Looks like my copy of New Rebellion.

Coincidentally, I'm reading Geomancer by Ian Irvine right now.
And David Eddings is great, barring the latest series.
