SQUAD LEAVE

* NAME - Gives your squad a unique name.
* RECRUITS - Lists the recruits in your squad and their ranks.
* DRAFT - Brings another player into your squad. You may only draft allies.
* DISCHARGE - Removes a recruit from your squad.
* LIEUTENANT - Should you, as the commandant of a squad, leave the squad or die, your lieutenant will be promoted to commandant.
* FORMATION - Lets you orient your squad in supprt of a city or commune. That organization's nexus will gain some energy as the squad gains experience through NPC combat.
* DISBAND - Eliminates your squad.
* LEAVE - Lets you quit a squad that you have been drafted into.

Syntax: SQUADT
SQT

Both syntaxes are the same. One is just an abbreviation. It is a communication channel with your squad.

Syntax: SQUADS

Lists all squads that are in a formation of support for your home city or commune, useful for if you wish to join in one.

Umm. The exp bonus seems a little... stupid.
Lekius2009-02-10 23:47:19
I agree..but I think we should see how big it is first!
Aison2009-02-10 23:49:01
Well considering there are already 25 different ways to get a very large exp bonus it just seems needless. But yeah, let's just see if it's 15% or 25% or whatever the admin think is ok.
Aoife2009-02-10 23:54:12
This sounds like a (decidedly more functional and nice) version of rings/webs in other IRE games that must not be named.

I like it, though I don't know how good the bonus is yet. suspicious.gif

ab influence leadership

INFLUENCE - LEADERSHIP

You can now command squads of any size. (Squads is a skill in the Combat skillset.)

ab combat unity

COMBAT - UNITY

Syntax: SQUAD UNITY ON|OFF

Available to the commandant of a squad. If the commandant tries to move, he will announce the move. If any recruits shout that they are inable to follow then the commandant will cancel the order. This should assist in moving the whole squad as a group, leaving nobody behind

ab combat distribution

COMBAT - DISTRIBUTION

Syntax: SQUAD DISTRIBUTION ON|OFF

Only available to the commandant of a squad. With distribution turned on, you willimmediately grab all gold dropped by any creature slain by your squad and distribute it evenly to all your recruits. If it cannot be split evenly, the commandant will pocket the difference.
Aison2009-02-10 23:57:33
-That- sounds nice. But the exp bonus is a little too much, considering the recent astral nerf. It's not as if anyone has a hard time getting exp in this game as it is.

You got this to work? Where is it in the skill for you?

After stance gut, before stance chest.

I can't get anyone to join my squad, but I can turn it on at least.

(PS: SQUADS

The following suquads are supporting the Great Collective of Glomdoring:
The Wyrded Hive lead by Sadhyra.
Wyrden Host lead by Xenthos.

(Yes, I'm typoing the typo)

Getting XP shouldn't be hard at all. I'm not sure where the notion comes from that we don't want to make levelling too quick and painless.

Why don't we? Too many demigods? Too late for that.

Maybe they're taking a hint from other MMO's that are trying to ease the pain of grinding by giving a lot of options for speeding up the process, or at least making it more fun.

Three cheers for you, admin. smile.gif

Doesn't seem to have any XP bonus right now.

I guess. But it's not very much of a grind since anyone who's is the right class and race combo can get it in just a handful of months or less.

I fixed an omission in the AB help file. Your XP bonus is based on how big your squad is.

I know the max is 12 people but how big of a bonus is that? 12% or is it something bigger/lower?

The max is infinite, actually.

Here's the updated scroll for AB MOON COVEN

MOON - COVEN

Syntax: MOONCOVEN FORM
MOONCOVEN JOIN
MOONCOVEN REJECT
MOONCOVEN APPOINT
MOONCOVEN DISSOLVE
MOONCOVEN LEAVE
MOONCOVEN MEMBERS
MOONCOVEN CIRCLE
MOONCOVEN SQUAD
COVEN

A coven is used to perform many Moon magics. To initiate, first FORM a
coven. As the leader of a coven, you may invite up to 13 others who
follow the path of the Moon* to JOIN your coven, and REJECT will dismiss
the person if you wish to remove the member. As leader you may APPOINT
someone who will take over as coven leader in your place if you are to
die or leave the realms.

To see who is currently in a formed coven, you can view the MEMBERS. To
end a coven, simply use DISSOLVE, or use LEAVE to exit a coven. When
three or more coven members stand together, CIRCLE will have you and all
other members of the coven present join hands in a circle, which enables
certain spells and provides minor resistance for its members against
unwanted summons. Some Moon magic can only be performed in a coven or in
a coven circle. To speak to all members of your coven, use COVEN
.

If you have the squads ability in Combat, you can use MOONCOVEN SQUAD to
convert your coven into a squad. A coven squad earns more XP bonus than
a normal squad.

*Those with the Moonchilde Aura when the Moon Altar is active may also
join the coven but will not count for Rage Covens.
Casilu2009-02-11 00:36:57
Now how about that mindlink change... suspicious.gif
Shaddus2009-02-11 00:40:47
Does the influence skill just let you have bigger squads?
