The issue isn't with having a lot of powers. The My Little Pony vs. Care Bears game I did had a lot of powers and everyone seemed to agree (?) that it was balanced and enjoyable. This is because I balanced it by making a lot of the powers one-shot, watering them down in some way, or giving implausible roles (ie. I remember Casilu got lynched because people didn't believe that I would put a voluntary untargetable role in the game). The thing is that you can either have a lot of okay powers, or a few really good ones and a lot of townies. This game gave pretty much everyone great powers (I was an unlimited dayvig, ffs, and that was weak in comparison to a number of others) and the scum didn't really have anything to compensate. I can't think of any way they could have possibly won in this setup. Also, the number of strong powers means that the game was totally unpredictable. Considering the number of people immune to lynches and the number of night/daykills in the game we might as well have just not bothered lynching and hoped that the people with powers did their job right.

What the censor.gif , I had like 4 different people target me. You could have just sent me a message saying 'don't bother signing up, we're just going to gank you because of last game'.

No, the Mafia all targetted you because we could only kill one person a night and if none of us did anything else, we were listed as part of killing you.

Did you do anything to get you out? tongue.gif It's just flavor!

Actually yes. I PM Kira that I wanted to use my Aura beam on the prison door (without her prompting me to do so). And then she wanted to know what my plan was after that, so of course I thought I did something.

it's a bit complicated and subtle.

Basically, you aren't going to be the first 2 because of being worried that the train won't stick, and you look to pushy to get it to stick. But if you wait too long, you are concerned there won't be enough momentum. Part of the pyschology is that once 4 people do something, it's perceived as "the whole group" doing something, and so the train happens. But none of that supposed decision making is concious decisions, it's all subconscious stuff.

Actually, I believe that it was more of a timezone issue. I really wasn't lying about the timezone thing. I knew I'd look scummy for having voted for you after you managed to convince more people, and was going to unvote and vote for Harkux.

And trust me, if I wasn't scum, I would have totally thought you were scum for trying to get the vote train on four people on one day.

What 4 people?
The first two were attempts to lay the trap, the last one was just Harkux.

I think everyone can benefit from this site, and sites like it.
