This reminds me of something hilarious: the Advanced Mastery Basketweaving thread on the DnD 3.5 Optimization Boards - they created a character with Profession (Basketweaving) capable of doing anything on earth with that skill check. scream.gif

Reminds me of Red Mage from 8 bit theatre. Anything can be done with Animal Husbandry. You only need pickpocketing to steal, picture everything as a giant pocket.

Red Mage is my hero, because he is the most glorious example of CharOp badassery.

Well I think you guys have said pretty much everything there is to be said about forging. Other than forging can be nice for making money afk, but people do that influencing now with experience gains as well.

The solution is obvious. Tack esteem and experience onto forging.

AFK-100 with reforging please. And tons of free esteem-things to drive the market further down!

I wouldn't mind exp for producing items, but esteem is a horrible idea.

I think we've said all there is to say, and it's obvious that either nobody wants to tell us anything, or some other negative vein. I'm hoping that the Admin care, but I know better than to hope they'll do something visibly.

What a sad comment.

For every other argument that could be made, we're still customers. We spend our time using their service and some of us (probably everyone who's complaining about forging sucking) has spent their money on it. I don't expect our every whim to be acted upon, but come on already. Everyone knows forging is horribly broken, people have been complaining about it for years. It seems like most people who forge regularly feel they're being cheated out of playing experience because of horrid mechanics.

It is not too much to expect a comment from the admins on this.

I have a feeling that you have a lot less experience with Iron Realms as a company than I do. My optimism regarding their communication between upset player and administrator is basically non-existent. I will not go in to specifics, but that is basically my feeling on the issue.

Eh, I've been playing IRE games since Aetolia was first released. The only time I've ever felt that I've wasted my time or money has been forging in Lusternia.

I didn't, so much as mention it's not a totally bad idea.

Give forgers an extra strength from all those long hours of forging we do.
Unknown2009-03-24 19:12:51
BC forgers smite downs should have a 100% bash brains rate.
Gero2009-03-24 22:47:19
Also give us Master master weapons.

Still think Dracnari should be able to FIRE FORGE WITH BREATH if above level 50, and not use coal... halo.gif
