How about you bash me up and I forge you the chain anyway?

Yea, I can't afford the unenemy fee either, I don't even recall why I was enemied...hrm. Your loss I guess

We could work on that

Or we could work on having forging improved!
Simimi2009-03-26 22:48:46
Except that I can't think of any way to improve it. Sure, making it less tedious to get what we are aiming for, but I really can't think of anything to make it so.
Razenth2009-03-26 22:52:07
If no one remembers, your fine will probably be super small. I got unenemied for 10k, when the offense was probably at least 30 or 50k, but no one rememebred what it was.

mallet I have. I'm cool with AFK for a week if they are cool with turning the other cheek. This forging a few hours a day is for the birds.
Hehe, you are like Ziva from NCIS.
I hope you mean "look the other way" instead of "turn the other cheek"... unless you plan on wacking them in the face with a mallet.
Simimi2009-03-26 22:58:21
yes yes, look the other way, that is what I mean. Thank you Dags

So it must have been -something-. I think I was brought along on a Forren raid to webwhore or something, I really don't recall ever being outwardly aggressive to Mag or Ur'Guard on my own, since I am the proverbial wet paper bag of the pvp world.

Back to forging... hm. What if different forges produced weapons of various quality? Like, an Iron forge for regular gear, a forge produces weapons of the supremest quality (master gear) and pushed the items further towards our end of the data plot a bit?

The reasons they're giving for not fixing Forging means this idea will not fly, although to be honest I don't want to have to find another special forge to get better items. Fire is fire, and I have plenty of coal to temper with.
Simimi2009-03-27 00:29:11
well.... then back to the drawing cave!

I thought you had one of the 218s?

I did at one point, but I found out who it belonged to, and ended up giving it back because I'm a softy like that.
Now I have the 214 someone forged and sold me.
Rodngar2009-03-29 00:36:48
I'd have kept the 218 because it's 2 points off of being a 220. Not that it matters, since 218 is the same speed as a 215 or possibly even 210.
I have quit the Warrior profession and given up Forging: and I am so much better and happy about it. The trade skill sucks, good riddance.

Good for you. I can't justify all the lesson loss, or I'd drop forging myself.

So from what I heard the core of forging isn't going to change, at least any time soon. So let's try and make some add ons that make the skill a little better.
1) Give forger's an extra strength point.
Since all forgers can use it and it's rp acceptable, who's ever seen a weak blacksmith?
2) Allow them to bind to weapons much like masterarmour
Why are we able to bind armour but not weapons?
3) If not bind, allow transcendent forgers to gain a passive bouns to weapons
We know weapons so well, we can better use them.
4) Add repairs for weapons
Add more months
5) Polearms
Who has ever forged one, let alone someone else seen one?
I'm just throwing out some ideas that would make us a little happier since our skill is a temporal female dog.
