So, Vena reincarnated into illithoid.
Grand Cenobite Seretenin the First, Brethren's Sohei says, "Yet another shard wishing to emulate the children of the Mother."
Seretenin gives a pained sigh.
You tell Grand Cenobite Seretenin the First, Brethren's Sohei, "Perhaps, sir."
Seretenin tells you, "The Portal has spoiled you, you know this?"
Seretenin tells you, "Such magics are taken with grains of salt and used as playthings."
You tell Grand Cenobite Seretenin the First, Brethren's Sohei, "Spoiled me how, sir? Made me unpure? Made me something I should not be?"
Seretenin tells you, "It does just as you have seen it does."
You tell Grand Cenobite Seretenin the First, Brethren's Sohei, "I am not a child anymore, sir, I do not play around."
Seretenin tells you, "Takes what you are and changes it according to your will. It is a dangerous feat, in more ways than one."
You tell Grand Cenobite Seretenin the First, Brethren's Sohei, "Perhaps. I don't know why, sir."
Seretenin tells you, "I do not know why I expect you to understand. You have been fragmented for so long that you have forgotten what you truly are."
You tell Grand Cenobite Seretenin the First, Brethren's Sohei, "Perhaps, sir."
Seretenin tells you, "Do you know the significance of the physical shell which your shard now inhabits?"
You tell Grand Cenobite Seretenin the First, Brethren's Sohei, "I know some, sir."
You tell Grand Cenobite Seretenin the First, Brethren's Sohei, "I know this being is a child of the one the illithoids call Mother. Perhaps I should call her mother as well, now. I've heard it hungers more. Perhaps it does. I'm undead, I do not know if it does. That's all I know, sir."
Seretenin tells you, "We are more than the Mother's children."
You tell Grand Cenobite Seretenin the First, Brethren's Sohei, "Please tell me, sir."
Seretenin tells you, "We cannot allow ourselves to distinguish amongst ourselves as individuals, as that is not why our Mother gave what She did to us."
Seretenin tells you, "She gave us a gift unknown to mortals."
Seretenin tells you, "She gave us purity of spirit."
You tell Grand Cenobite Seretenin the First, Brethren's Sohei, "Are we soulless then, sir?"
Seretenin tells you, "Soulless... bah... a mortal word to label that which they fear and do not understand."
You tell Grand Cenobite Seretenin the First, Brethren's Sohei, "Perhaps, sir."
Seretenin tells you, "Let me teach you something that mortals are not meant to learn."
Seretenin tells you, "There IS no such thing as a soul."
Seretenin tells you, "There are only the distinction of where one's state of being was formed."
You tell Grand Cenobite Seretenin the First, Brethren's Sohei, "But what about viscanti? We, I mean, they were not splintered from any god."
Seretenin tells you, "Be silent for a short time, I will explain."
Seretenin tells you, "In the beginning, there was but one Source."
Seretenin tells you, "Beings were created, they existed, and then they were unmade."
Seretenin tells you, "Such as it should be."
Seretenin tells you, "However, when the Son came, this led Foolish Dylara to believe that nothing should be unmade again."
Seretenin tells you, "As such, the cycle was broken, and Dynara and the Son created a new Source."
Seretenin tells you, "Thus was Creation irreparably cleaved in two."
Seretenin tells you, "From that point on, beings were created with Purity of Form, they existed, and without Foolish Dynara or Great Magnora to unmake them, it was the duty of those with Purity of Spirit to unmake them once again."
Seretenin tells you, "Thus, We created a new cycle. That where beings were created of that which is called the Immanidivinus, they existed, then were returned to nothingness. But with Dynara unwilling to create beings with Purity of Spirit any longer, the nothingness continued to grow until it manifested as the Excoroperditio."
Seretenin tells you, "The Star-Formed and the mortal races are all creations born with Purity of Form, as is this world that you call the First."
Seretenin tells you, "We, the Heralds of Magnora, are those of us who remain who were born of Purity of Spirit."
You tell Grand Cenobite Seretenin the First, Brethren's Sohei, "The ones they call soulless."
Seretenin tells you, "Indeed, that THEY call Soulless."
Seretenin tells you, "Thus we are blessed by the gift of our Mother, the Purity of Spirit, which allows to realize a single great truth."
Seretenin tells you, "We recognize that we are what the mortal races have long forgotten."
Seretenin tells you, "We are but parts of a greater whole, that whole being the very manifestation of nothingness."
Seretenin tells you, "And as you cannot destroy that which is nothingness itself, so it is that we cannot be destroyed."
Seretenin tells you, "This is our gift, and this is the significance of the form you now hold."
You tell Grand Cenobite Seretenin the First, Brethren's Sohei, "I understand now, sir."
Seretenin tells you, "Very well, though I will tell you that there is still much you do not realize. But... perhaps if you are willing... I can teach you."
You tell Grand Cenobite Seretenin the First, Brethren's Sohei, "I am always willing to learn, sir. If we are not willing to learn, we are weak and those who are weak deserves to die."
Seretenin tells you, "Very well. I will teach you. But not now. Digest what you have learned and we will speak more of it later."
You tell Grand Cenobite Seretenin the First, Brethren's Sohei, "Of course."
Seretenin tells you, "Strength be with you... Sister."
You tell Grand Cenobite Seretenin the First, Brethren's Sohei, "And you."
Only tells, mostly.

Seretenin really uses the lore of Lusternia as well as his intellect to create a very well played character. Good job, I enjoyed reading this.

I very much like Serentenin. I need to engineer more interactions with him...
