While I think the roles could have mention humans, They don't exist most likely in this game. With this I think Doman is lieing about being a human.

I don't think it makes sense to vote for Doman on the first day. If he's telling the truth, and he is a human, then we don't gain anything by killing him. We need to kill the demons. And, he just made our odds at finding a demon go up.

And if he was a demon, it wouldn't make sense for him to draw this kind of attention to himself, so I'm inclined to believe him. And it doesn't make sense this early on, if he was a demon, that he would throw himself under the bus for the other demons as there's no point in it yet. (Plus if he was a demon, he wouldn't need to roleclaim to try to get others to roleclaim, as presumably demons know each other and so could easily figure out which are on their lists to kill!)

So I won't vote for Doman. And I'm suspicious again of the two that did: Silferras (again) and Aysidra.

And because everyone needs to cast in a vote of some sort in order to get the Day to draw to a close....
Vote: Silferras

Can you explain that line please? I'm not sure how that works.

This is getting to be quite a WIFOM situation.

On one hand, if Doman's role is accurate, I can understand why he revealed the existence of humans. After all, he thought that they were just vanilla townies. But when we brought up the possibility of him being recruited, and suggested that we lynch him as a preventive action, I can understand why he would want to not reveal it.

However, it could very well be that he is scum, and doing it to throw people off.

However, Zynna, I am curious as to why you didn't include Furien, who voted before Ayisdra. Also, you have tried to vote for Silferras twice. You're looking a twinge suspicious to me, but nothing definitive yet.

At this moment, we've already got two role claims. I'm trying to see if we can get anything out of it.

Oh, and I suggest that we do not look at the other thread. There is a very high possibility that we would unconsciously use the information from the other thread for this game, so I suggest we do not read it.
Zynna2009-03-06 16:16:04
I didn't see Furien voted for Doman too, so in that case he is added to my suspicions list. I voted for Silferras because he is voting for someone who claimed himself as human. And since I don't think it makes sense to vote for a human because we only win by killing the demons, anyone who isn't following that logic becomes suspicious in my book.

As to why Silferras and not Aysidra (and now Furien), it's because I already had an inkling of suspicion on him earlier (althoguh I know that was a weak claim at the time), and I had to choose between the two of them, and Aysidra just jumped on the bandwagon of Silferras.

So that was my logic. But if people wanted to vote for Aysidra or Furien at the moment, that would work for me too.

Hope that clears things up!

From your post above about Doman:
And, he just made our odds at finding a demon go up.

Could you clarify what you mean by that?

And Silferras is a she. laugh.gif

Zynna2009-03-06 16:44:16
Sorry Silferras!! My mistake...not enough morning coffee yet!

There are 12 players. So if we make a random guess as to who is a demon we have a 1/12 chance of lynching a demon (I know that's not the exact odds because presumably there is more than one demon, but just showing my basic logic). If Doman is human, that means there are now only 11 suspects (well 10 really, because I don't suspect myself), so now the odds have increased to a 1/11 chance on lynching a demon. If we lynch Doman and he really is a human, we have a 0% chance of lynching a demon. So it makes no sense to go for something that has a high probably of being a dead loser.

That's assuming that everyone who claims town is actually a townie. Obviously scum aren't going to claim that they're scum, so at one point, if we go by your reasoning, we'll have a 100% probability of lynching a demon - and the chance that the last remaining unclaimed person is actually town will still exist. The only thing we can completely trust is either an investigated result, a lie-detector result, or a role-reveal death.

Oooooor..... Doman is a demon himself.

Vote: Doman

Like I said, I find it unlikely that we have a vanilla angel AND a human. Given the extra stuff Silferras added, he's got my vote.
Unknown2009-03-06 20:58:14
I think that Doman's (if he is a human) win condition would probably be more along the lines of 'win if you survive until the end' where angels or demons winning doesn't make a difference.

In this case, lynching Doman would be a 'safe' lynch. There's no way someone would claim human if they were actually town. Since we have no other leads, I'm going to Vote Doman.

UNVOTE

I can see Doman being a demon, so I'll go with this. But do try not to be wrong

VOTE DOMAN
Doman2009-03-06 21:44:04
Furien, you know quite well that if I HADN'T claimed, people would have kept hounding me for it. I was trying to pre-empt the situation where I was hanging by a thread, and honestly, it's not a big loss if I die.
Arix2009-03-06 21:48:08
censor.gif , I thought I saw an unvote there somewhere
Ayisdra2009-03-06 21:55:12
Doman should be at six votes.
Doman2009-03-06 21:57:57
unless someone has a double vote or something. In all honesty though, it's probably safer to lynch me than to risk hitting an angel with powers. -shrug-
Daganev2009-03-06 22:05:50
You guys are bad at counting votes....
Ayisdra2009-03-06 22:07:25
Doman has Silferras, Furien, Rika, Arix, Solanis and myself. That is six.
Daganev2009-03-06 22:11:57
ah Solanis, ok. Please try not to hide your votes in blocks of text thanks!

UNVOTE

So... you're saying you're a demon then? You say it's better to kill you than an angel with powers... since we know nothing about humans, not even if they exist or not... you're basically saying you're a demon, at least in my book.
Also, that "yeah, kill me" part... reverse psychology?

No votes for now. Let's see what happens.
