Oh, yeah guard spam is really tons of fun. We still have our moments at the Nexus though, and the occasional angry newbie who finds a way to get himself killed.
Yeah the 20% rune is a massive boost, that and his stats make me weep.

What? Glomdoring is only good for emo RP? The extent of emo RP I've seen was the old Blacktalon emote, and some slashing for blood for rituals. I've seen some logs of Magnadorians doing the same for their rituals.
There's plenty of good RP anywhere. If the only RP Glomdoring was good for is emo RP, I wouldn't be in Glomdoring. That statement is so wrong on so many levels. It's like saying, the only RP Serenwilde is good for is spamming glomps and snuggles.
That said, I'm also feel that emotes are not the major determinant of good RPing. First off, the emotes that are given to us fit can perfectly. I use the ponder/ah/eyebrow/blink/cough emotes very often. They're fast to use, fit perfectly, and doesn't have my full title out.
Like Casilu, I have this need to make every part of my sentence/emote/post perfect. What makes it worse is that my grammar is instinctive, which means that I can re-write my sentence many times over, only to delete it all and start all over again. So, either I manage to get my sentence out at all, sans emoting, then add it in later, or I get a perfect one, but it'll be out of context by the time I hit Enter.
Edit: Argh, I hit post instead of preview. Many edits to come. Not like they wouldn't anyway.
Edit:
Not that I have anything against custom emotes. I do that some times, and I have one aliased. Still, I don't feel that emotes are the major determinant of RP-ability.
What I feel is a better indicator of RP is consistency. Like Everiine's cool helmet thing, little things that someone else may or may not notice.
Although, I must admit I'm not a perfect RPer. I try to inject some RP into novice guiding, but it either confuses them, or I just run out of steam halfway through. I often just smile or nod, simply because I really have absolutely nothing in mind. (once, I tried to SMILENOD to save time. ARGH! I called it a facial tic though. Does that count as RPing?)

Be thankful. The Moonhart Mother Tree is lollersnugglefest central for Serenwilde. Hasn't happened recently, but I've actually told people to leave because they were getting borderline inappropriate.

I've done that, and I think it took Ethelon 20 minutes of pure applying to fix the wounds on his limbs.

I don't actually remember having ever seen any lollersnuggling there. It might be because I don't often stand around the Mother Tree and I'm mostly active during off-peak hours but still, I think the whole snuggly reputation of Serenwilde is highly exaggerated and is based on just a few individuals (in the past, perhaps?). Like Caerulo said, it is no more true than Glomdoring roleplay being all about emoing. (I really wonder what people explicitly even mean with that term and why it (like snuggling) seems to have only negative connotations. No one would state that it's bad rp if your character snuggles or pounces their husband/wife but still it suddenly seems that way when labelled under the term 'snuggly behaviour'.)
Besides, being snuggly or emo or anything like that is not roleplaying of any sort. What is roleplaying is what purpose those actions serve and how well or badly they fit for the story, atmosphere and surroundings of your character and the game world.

No, Glomdoring really is emo, find the old Blacktalon guild emote, the proof is in the pudding, so to speak.

Blacktalon guild emote, anyone?
It might be true but I still think there are usually other rp reasons for being emo than "hey, let's be emo for the sake of being emo." I've never had a character in Glomdoring so I don't really know, though.

Heh, if no one states a second opinion soon, I'm afraid I will be convinced that Glomdoring is a little emo. But by no means would it mean that there couldn't be as good roleplaying as anywhere else.

Glomdoring certainly is emo. Just wait till you see us sacrificing ourselves to bring each other back to life or to achieve an undead state.
