Then I am out of ideas, and I wish you luck with your cause.

My splendours are 69/65.

Splendours - combistat of 138 (wish the set wasn't 75/63). Can't recall hearing about higher stats.

It offers the following defences:
Physical cutting: 63
Physical blunt: 75
It is in perfect condition.
Shimmering robes of silver and blue has no poisons or magical effects on it.

An alternative solution would be to allow enchanters to DISENCHANT the robes. Personally, I don't mind sitting there all day enchanting (I did it once for Malarious and another time for Arimisia and just a month ago for myself). If you don't like the stats, you could disenchant it and try again at a power cost without having to make a new set. This, of course, makes it less profitable for tailors making robes for OTHER people. Plus you'd have to be really nice to your Enchanter since they'll be there trying for days to get the desired stats.

I'll be honest...if people forced me to get perfect stats like forgers have to do now, I wouldn't enchant robes.

Good luck on getting that combistat on equal stats, even then, it's only 138. We've got at least one report of 145. I would settle for 70/70 (+/-2 on either stat), but so far I've gotten no where near it. Well, I did have a set with the same stats as you did...
Naturally, luck is a factor, but that's really not a valid point. As a forger you can, in theory, get that perfect plate on the first attempt.
Vashner's solution could work, if disenchanting is limited to Splendours only or something. Tailoring is pretty useless as a trade skill anyway, crippling it even more would pretty much make it on par with Bookbinding
I did have a suggestion where Tailors could turn ordniary robes into Splendours, similarly like Masterarmour was changed. Make it cost something like 50% reserves + additional comms to raise it to Splenour level which would increase the stats. It would still take a fair amount of time and gold.

I'd gladly try to enchant perfect splendours. After all, I earn 3k gold on each attempt.

My second attempts at splendor only happen when I forget to repair the first attempt. I'm not made of money.

For me it has less to do with the money and more that I always forget to check how long my robes have left...

Which does not bring us closer to finding out the caps!
I think I will start messaging all enchanters to send me the stats they see. Problem is, who will bother replying :/
