I'll be up front about this issue. I. HATE. Grinding. Plain and simple. It's boring, and it annoys the hell out of me. However, I REALLY want to get demigod (mainly for the awesome RP that could come from it).

So then, I ask all of you demigods and titans out there, what helped you along in your seemingly endless grind to sub-divinity? Did you listen to music, drink lots of caffeine and stay up for hours on end till your body shut down completely, or anything else?

Let me know, because I need help.

Just because they don't, doesn't mean they can't.

I suggest changing up the process by which you can gain experience. Switching between hunting and influencing both kept me happy and preoccupied, and the gold from it wasn't bad either.

4 years with not much better to do.

My problem is not knowing where to go for experience after 80. I've already decided to Influence my way up the chain to 80 - but after that, I'm drawing a blank. Being a Human Warrior, it can't be that hard - and I figure if I'm honestly devoted, I can get over the monotone bs that is bashing. So I figure - where would I go after that?

The main places I like to hunt are Undervault and Astral. Of course you'll still have to switch it up from influencing and questing of course. I fancy doing Tosha, it's a great area to influence and the spirit plane is a hunting ground as well. (sorry had a thought about aetherspace, non gankable area but xp is far to low)

The only skill involved in getting Demigod is the skill it requires to lie to yourself that you are having fun and that what you are doing is a worthwhile use of your time.

Alternating between Influencing/Hunting/both can ease the tedious pain of leveling. Thought I'm not a demigod (yet ), I found it was better for my sanity to do influencing rounds in Tosha/guards/etc., then bash in Undervault/Astral (sometimes).

Good music, bashing with friends, and too much time. That's what worked for me.

Oh how so true it's been. You think after three years of playing I'd be over 80 though *rofl*

Have an IG family that:

• Drags you up to Astral and down to the UV;
• Teases you about being slow ("You're a snail! No, a toad! No, you're caramel!") until you go hunting;
• Threatens to call you ickle until you become a demigod like the rest of them;
• Cheers you on when you get a new level;
• Keeps you amused with banter while you bash;
• Generally makes life less boring and more fun.

You have to want it enough.

My family does none of these.

I only want it because some people seem to make it quite clear that it's mandatory for upper tier combat. I figure that's reason enough.

I got it for the pretty zapping and shouting.

You decide that pretending your character is a demigod is easier and more worthwhile than actually becoming one.
