Tsuujin sheathes his weapons just long enough to slide down the frame of the ladder, not trusting the structure for longer than truly required. When he hits the bottom he quickly returns his weapons to his hands, ready for battle.

Upon inspecting the door, Aesamar finds nothing suspicious, and so, once his party descends the ladder to land safely behind him, he opens the door.
Silence. And flickering torchlight.
Peaking his head outside, all the wizard can see are three large statues of dwarves in armor. He takes a step out, and everything changes.
The chamber rises up at a steep angle to the west, and two goblin warriors sit perched near the top, javelins at the ready, partially concealed by the art of their enemies.

The two rows that contain the dwarven statues are considered difficult terrain so long as you are moving toward the goblin area (they are slanted floors), but not if you're moving back or side-to-side.))

Ralzik runs into the room, moving behind the center statue (D12), and gives one of the goblins a look of death ((Warlock curse to W1)) As he conceals into the shadows, he stretches out his arm, and a giant diabolical hand grabs the goblin warrior and pulls him down the incline to stand between Ralzik and Aesamar(F12)

Just as Ralzik yanks the screeching warrior down the slope, a goblin with a battleaxe comes charging forward to protect him. Regardless of shadow, the stampeding creature finds its mark, nearly knocking the warlock to the ground with a powerful swipe.

Seeing the screeching creatures close in on Ralzik, Aesamar quickly gestures, once more induces a roaring ball of flame to burst into life behind the goblins, directing its flares towards the weaker-looking of the two, although the tongues of flame whip out too wildly and miss the diminutive beast. His brow creasing in annoyance, he draws his eladrin longsword as a precautionary measure, he then takes a step to the side in order to allow those behind him better access to the fray.

As Tsuujin struggles to make his way across the rubble-strewn battle-field, the injured warrior he passes takes a swipe--though, luckily for the fighter he doesn't even notice as the spear-point barely misses his throat.
When Tsuujin strikes back, however, the goblin uses the missed swings to shift away and make way for his escape, which can't come too soon as the orb behind him suddenly flares and sears his armor.
Scampering back up the hill, the warrior turns and throws, a bit too hastily, apparently, as the javelin does nothing but chink the ground next to the human fighter he just escaped.
The second warrior takes a shot as well, this time aiming at Ralzik. He too misses, however, and follows it up with a growling curse. He points at the pair of adventurers and screeches an order to the axe-wielding goblin behind him.
With a suprisingly loud roar, the third goblin charges headlong down the hill, barrelling headfirst into the dual-wielding fighter. A clash of metal is heard, and as the dust settles, Tsuujin is obviously the worse for wear.
Meanwhile, after having escaped and missed his throw, the scorched goblin gibbers madly at the hexer that had been tucked away on the far side of the hall. Immediately after chanting can be heard and dark wisps of energy come soaring from the rear, catching Aesamar directly in the face and drawing streams of eladrin blood.
