((Oh ok, I see now, before on the image, I saw this red square around everything, with a "vexing cloud" button beneath it ))

((Can I use teleketic leap on badguys? ))
Unknown2009-03-25 17:31:03
((Hm. Well, the skill calls for a willing ally, but I suppose if you wanted to make an Int attack vs Fort I'd let you move them, and then roll an additional save for them if you want to throw them off the edge--if they save they end up in the square next to the pit. If he falls, deal 10d10 damage to him.))

((Why the save for going off the edge? He'll be flying through the air and then dropped, though I understand a save for resisting the movement, but I guess that's dnd3.5 rules.))

((You hurl yourself or one of your allies safely through the air using your mind.
Encounter
Move Action Ranged 10
Target: You or one ally
Effect: The target can fly up to 5 squares, if this power is used on an ally, that ally must reamin in your line of sight at all times during the effect ))

((reading it again, I guess it just can't be used on enemies))

((Anything being pushed off a ledge is entitled to a save to essentially "grab" the ledge. The idea being that he's fighting you enough that even though you want to throw him into the middle, he can possibly fall in such a way as to be able to reach the ledge. Otherwise a 10d10 damage encounter attack is a biiit unbalanced at level 2. tongue.gif))

((Yeah. It's not something you can usually target enemies with. I'm just letting you do it, but with the stipulations I gave.))
Daganev2009-03-25 17:53:55
((LOL, ok so I carry him 3 spaces to the edge, and then I place him 5 feet below the ledge, and then my power runs out cause he is out of line of site, and he is allready 5ft down the pit so its only a 95 foot drop tongue.gif ))

edit: (( Naw I don't want to do something that is explicitly not allowed by the rules, I was just trying to understand how that works .. but we will see what isuka does first anyways ))
Unknown2009-03-25 17:55:17
((Saw, I just noticed you still have me listed (and mapped) as being on B5, but I moved to -A6 on my turn. If you could fix it that'd be great, thanks.))

Fixed.

Also, Dag, I'm the DM, I get to say whatever I want. tongue.gif

The first rule of DM is to make things fun and cool. The DM guide even says that the rules are more like guidelines.

(( I had a DM one time that got pissed with someone trying to abuse 2.5e's Wish spell... so the wish backfired and suddenly he found himself freezing cold in a big black space, suffocating, and within a fraction of a second hit by a gigantic hunk of metal with the word, "Enterprise" written on it. We all laughed, and he rolled another character.

lesson: DM is god. ))

((As long as your players don't mind stuff like that, yeah. laugh.gif Otherwise, a DM isn't anything without players. tongue.gif))
Daganev2009-03-25 18:03:57
(Fine fine.... ))
((This is my move action only, the other parts of my action I will do after Isuka ))

Seeing the hexer standing close to the edge of the pit, on the other side of the room, Ralzik stretches out his mind and moves the hexer just south of the stairwell.

((Teleketic leap of H to -H1 ))
Int vs Fort
1d20+3=20 - Success!

edit: ((btw, when I first saw the map, I thought the stairs were going up not down heh ))
Unknown2009-03-25 18:06:35
((I'll let that go as a move. I didn't think about that part though--it really should be a standard if you're using it to attack, but that's okay, since you weren't trying to throw him down the pit.))

Edit: Wait.. huh? You're trying to drop the Hexer into the pit? I didn't know where that coordinate was when I responded at first. -H1 is a pit space.))

((
It works both ways! I think its awesome you're willing to bend the rules a little bit to make it more enjoyable, but I think being completely brutal when it comes to the fights would be amazing too. (Like say you had a choice between that hobgoblin hitting Tsujin, or pulling off a coup de grace on Zorga, I think it would be more fun to get couped then get a 'you live to fight another day' card tongue.gif

That being said, I think you're doing an excellent job thusfar!
)
Daganev2009-03-25 18:08:50
((huh? -H1 is the bottom of the pit isn't it? ))
((I was hoping that if he made his saving throw, at least he would be some 15 feet below us and out of line of sight ))

What do you mean, "bottom" of the pit? -F1 through 5 is pit. E is first solid ground south of the pit.

OOh, you were going to have me make the saving throw. Gotcha. Well, if you want to drop him in the pit, that'll cost you a standard action.))
Unknown2009-03-25 18:12:55
((Okay, I rolled the goblin's saving throw, but i'm not going to tell you the result until I know if that's what you still want to do--attempt to drop him down using a standard action))
Daganev2009-03-25 18:13:06
((Ok, lets try this again. There are stairs going down into the pit at -I3 to -I2 correct? -H1 is just south of the stairwell going into the pit, but is open air meaning it does the 10d10 damage. But if he makes his saving throw, he would end up on the stairs of -I1 some amount of distance below us. Correct? ))

((Yes. Sorry, I misunderstood you at first, but that works. But it'll cost you a standard, not a move.))
Daganev2009-03-25 18:14:18
((meh, yeah fine, standard action, I was planning on using an action point after Isuka went anyways))
Isuka2009-03-25 18:16:27
Tsuujin takes a moment to suck down the healing potion, and then springs back into action. With deft movements Tsuujin moves to the rear of his foe, and before the poor creature even realizes he's in danger, Tsuujin unleashes an energy filled yell and whips his sword into the mists four times in a row. His final strike hits true.
((
Spend minor action to use healing potion. I'm up to 24 hp and no longer bloodied.
Pass-Forward to -c8, clearing myself from the cloud, does not provoke OAs.
Dual Strike vs. S1 (AC 20) (1d20+6=10, 1d20+6=10, 1d8+2=9, 1d6+2=6)
Miss. Miss.
Spend action point for a standard action.
Dual Strike vs. S1 (AC 20) (1d20+6=7, 1d20+6=26, 1d8+2=3, 1d6+2=3)
Miss.
Crit! 8 damage.
Mark S1.
))

Edit: damn, i forgot that dual strike doesn't add the melee strike damage, so it's only 8 total damage, not 12.
