"Not so fast, Nagrath," taunts the hobgoblin, who shifts past the dragonborn to go after his prey. As he moves, the soldier brings the flail down in an overhand blow, smashing Tsuujin hard across the chest. The human crumples to the ground with with only a groan and a loud thud.
Just as Tsuujin goes down, however, so does the goblin warrior, burned severely by the flares from the flaming sphere.
((S2 shifts to -E6. Hits Tsuujin for 14.
Tsuujin is knocked unconscious.
W triggers Flaming Sphere. W is dead.))
At the beginning of Tsuujin's turn, he needs to make a save vs. death. If he rolls a 1-9, that's 1 strike. At 3 strikes, you're dead. If you roll a 10-19, you're stable, and nothing happens. If you roll a 20, you get to automatically wake up and spend a healing surge. (no matter how far negative your health is, you you heal as if you were at zero, not that negative number.)
Another character, during their turn, can also attempt a Heal check. If you can beat a DC of 15, Tsuujin will be able to stabilize him, bringing him to 0 hit points and stopping his need for Death Saves. Another check of DC 10 is required to allow him to spend a healing surge.
Kuro can also use her warlord abilities to revive him.
