Hearing the smashed window, Ralzik notices that all this death and carnage is not just for fun, but had some purpose. Enraged that these barbaric creatures may feel success from thier efforts, Ralzik get's an intense look of focus, as he sends out a curse to the nearest foul creature (W2 - gets Warlock curse), after his brief glance as the warrior, he points his arm out towards the bloodied Warrior Goblin at the store window, and shoots him with an Eldritch Blast, but misses completely.
against reflex (15) (1d20+5=9)

Upset by his bad aim, Ralzik runs aroun the north side of the fountain to stand between the two goblins on the east side of the fountin, and blends into the shadows. (Move to N9)
Daganev2009-03-06 01:35:18
((so at this point I can try to get another attack in? Since w2 is cursed, and I'm the closest person to him, do I roll a 1d20+7 for my ranged eldritch blast attack?))

((If you use your action point, then yes you can make another attack. But Prime Shot gives you +1 to hit for being close. Then Curse allows you to do an extra +1d6 damage. So, you'd do 1d10+1d6+Whatever Modifier for damage.))
Daganev2009-03-06 01:47:54
((Ok, then I will do that. ))
Upset with missing the first warrior, Ralizk's face fumes as he sends a blast of Eldirtch fire straight into the goblin warrior's face!
vs Ref(15) (1d20+6=26)

What do I do with a Crit? Do I have to roll again?

Dagame: ((Something is wonky, I don't get how to read this dieroll))
Damage for eldritch blast (1d10+5=14, 1d6=4)

((You'd have wanted to put 1d10+1d6+5 in for your damage, not the semi-colon. However, even if you did put the semi-colon in, you'd want to just add the 4 to the other number, so 18. However, with a crit, you don't have to roll damage. You automatically deal maximum. So, 21.))
Daganev2009-03-06 01:59:06
((ah ok, COMPLETELY different from 3e. Well... woohoo Take that goblinoid! As a note to everyone else playing, C1 will die before he gets to do anything, so you should target other creatures. And may I strongly suggest killing w1 before he gets to move again

edit: Do we have a healer in the group? Aesmar seems to need some healing!))
Unknown2009-03-06 02:02:08
Nearly incinerated by the eldritch blast, the goblin warrior flails wildly, striking out with his spear. The last-ditch spasm accomplishes nothing, however, as he misses wildly.

((W2 misses an OA against Ralzik.))

((Warlord can heal a little, aand he can use his Second Wind to heal himself slightly as a Standard Action as well. But otherwise, I don't think you have a healer in the group.

Edit: Also, C1 shifted away when Bali missed him, so he's not adjacent to you and Bali anymore.))

((just because I'm all new at this, did you take "Defensive Mobility - Passive: You gain a +2 bonus to AC against opportunity attacks." into account, or does that only apply when it's not actually my turn?))

((I missed that you even had it, however, he missed you anyway, so I suppose it works out alright. tongue.gif))
Daganev2009-03-06 02:10:50
((Yeah, it looked like all my skills require lots of tactical mobility, so I figured it best for me to get something that would likely come up often as I move around the battlefield))

Also, since you moved and did a basic attack, you also could have Charged instead. Charging allows you to move up to your full speed in a straight-ish line and then make a basic attack with a +1 to hit. It's good if you're way out of battle and need to move, and then move again but still want to attack. Also, some items work well with charging, like a Horned Helm, that gives you +1d6 damage whenever you charge.))

((Can you charge with spells?))

((You can only charge with a "basic" melee attack, which is just a regular weapon-swing. However, Shadar-kai have a special racial feat called "Reaper's Touch" that lets them use certain spells as basic melee attacks.))

(( w1 is likely going to die on my next turn. Unless I get a crappy die roll. ))

((When I saw all that happening to me, my first thought was "Oh crap, Majorthird, Majorthird!"...))

Realising that defending against material weapons may not be his forte, Aesamar stumbles back between the crates he passed through just a moment earlier. Raising his hand to touch his now-useless eyes, he grits his teeth against the pain of the gashes that now mark him, and rises to a standing position, as his ire at being handicapped in such a fashion makes his other ailments seem like mere scratches. Pressing the heels of his hands into his eyes, he breathes out slowly and, removing his hand from his face, smiles softly as he is again able to see all that surrounds him. With new resolve, he turns to join his trusty fireball in battle once more.

((Sustain Minor))
((Walk to Q7))
((Use Second Wind, gaining 5 health))
((Saving throw against blindness (1d20=12) Save!))

((This is fun. Not a very eloquent comment, I know, but seeing as we haven't quite got to the drama and intrigue yet, all I can say is that I'm enjoying myself, which is good.))

EDIT: ((For future reference, what exactly is the RP behind Second Wind? I don't know if I was doing it correctly, or if there's meant to be something more arcane behind it))

((I'm glad you're having fun. That means I'm doing something right, even though it's just the beginning.

And really, the nice thing about 4e is that things can be flavored just about anyway you want. The idea behind Second Wind is just that you call up on your inner reserves of endurance or whatever, but you can turn that into anything you wanted, really.))

Still reeling from its former encounter with the warlock, the burnt goblin warrior staggers about, and, as misfortune would have it, into the exact opposite situation--the cold embrace of Ralzik's aura. His green skin, now blackened, goes from blistered due to heat to the extreme frigid temperatures that now surround him, and with a silent scream he is locked into the final moments of his own agony. Only the butt of his spear holds the warrior's petrified form from collapsing like his brethren.

Meanwhile, the other two goblins work together against Kuro, the cutter's blow bouncing off of armor, while the Hexer is slightly more direct, aiming for the warlord's mind itself. The dragonborn's head rocks back and her eyes glaze over with darkness, tears of blood streaming down her cheeks.

((W2 triggers Armor of Agathys. W2 is dead.
C1 moves to L10. Misses Kuro.
H shifts to I12. Hits Kuro with Blinding Hex for 9 damage. Kuro is blind. (save ends)

Next up: Tsuujin))

Isuka2009-03-06 16:59:16
Sensing that something is amiss with this goblin warrior, who seems triumphant despite being bloodied and cleaved, Tsuujin rushes directly at him and wastes no time disemboweling the foul creature. Seeing that he is standing in relative safety for the moment Tsuujin takes the chance to investigate the item that this, now bloody sack of meat, was so excited about a moment ago.

((
Charge at W1, to land at either n4 or o4, however the charge skill works. Probably n4?
Charge attack vs. W1 (+8 vs. AC 17) (1d20+8=18, 1d8+6=11)(HIT! 11 damage, W1 is dead.)
Want me to roll something to figure out what it was holding?
))
