Okay. I have been playing for four years, and all of my characters save one were from Celest, and the one that wasn't didn't last very long. So, this means that my education sucks in regards to Mag, Glom, and Seren.
Now, I don't want the whole "The Taint is a good, wholesome thing", and "the Wilde is better than the city" (two things I've heard people say in the past) because I'll just get irritated. What I do wish to do is inform myself about the other Communes.
Questions I have in my head:
First of all, I am a so, what is a lichseed? What does it do?
What are the guilds of Serenwilde, Glomdoring, and Magnagora?
Which planes are attached to Magnagora's nexus (I can't remember - I read it in a book once)?
When you go to Ethereal from Serewilde, you go on a plane and then enter an archway. Which plane do you transverse to before entering the archway?
We have the Pool of Stars. What are the Serenwilde and Glomdoring nexuses called?
Which plane are the Demon Lords on? (or am I a and there are no Demon Lords?)
...any other information you can offer, or suggestions on scrolls I can read would be greatly appreciated.

A defense given by people with the skill in Necromancy. If you have it, and die, you rise again as undead in like ten seconds.
What are the guilds of Serenwilde, Glomdoring, and Magnagora?
HELP GUILDS
Which planes are attached to Magnagora's nexus (I can't remember - I read it in a book once)?
Nil, Earth.
When you go to Ethereal from Serewilde, you go on a plane and then enter an archway. Which plane do you transverse to before entering the archway?
Serenwilde-Ethereal Serenwilde-Faethorn (through archway)
We have the Pool of Stars. What are the Serenwilde and Glomdoring nexuses called?
Heart of the something, and Dark Master Ravenwood or some such.
Which plane are the Demon Lords on? (or am I a and there are no Demon Lords?)
Nil. Nil is to Demonlords, as Celestia is to Supernals.
...any other information you can offer, or suggestions on scrolls I can read would be greatly appreciated.

Serenwilde nexus is the Moonhart Mother Tree. Glomdoring nexus is the Master Ravenwood.
Unknown2009-03-04 02:09:45
Magnagora's nexus is connected to one of the Astral Spheres too. I forgot which though.
Dai2009-03-04 02:10:15
Capricorn. It has goats!
Unknown2009-03-04 02:20:52
Ah, yes, I remember stainless steel goats, but I forgot if it was Aries or Capricorn.

In order, Lichseed is something that a Transcendent Necromancer in Magnagora (Archlich, essentially) can give to a non-Archlich Magnagoran. Both parties spend 5p, but the person with the Lichseed becomes Undead. Undead get +2 Str and +2 Int during the Night, -1 Str and -1 Int during the day. Archlichs always have the +2 Str and +2 Int boost regardless of what day it is. The Black Crypt also gives some silly upgrades and is by far the best construct now.
The guilds of Serenwilde:
Moondancers (Wiccans)
Serenguard (Warriors)
Hartstone (Druids)
Shofangi (Monks)
Spiritsingers (Bards)
The guilds of Glomdoring:
Shadowdancers (Wiccans)
Ebonguard (Warriors)
Blacktalon (Druids)
Nekotai (Monks)
Harbingers (Bards)
The guilds of Magnagora:
Nihilists (Guardians)
Ur'guard (Warriors)
Geomancers (Mages)
Ninjakari (Monks)
Cacophony (Bards)
Planes attached to Magnagora:
The Elemental Plane of Earth, home of the Earth Lords and plane of the Geomancers.
The Tainted Plane of Nil, home of the Demon Lords and plane of the Nihilists.
When you're at the Moonhart Mother Tree on Prime Serenwilde, you transverse to the ethereal version of Serenwilde. Home of the Moon Avatars and Hart Aspects. The archway is connected to Faethorn, where people from Serenwilde and Glomdoring can influence the fae and bring them to their Avatars for power and/or more guardians for the Avatars.
Serenwilde Nexus: The Moonhart Mother Tree
Glomdoring Nexus: The Master Ravenwood Tree
The Demon Lords (and Lady) are on the Tainted Plane of Nil, and do indeed exist. They're just big, nasty, and ugly. Kind of like Xiel's new ascension name. (J/k Xiel. <3)

Magnagora's nexus (The Megalith of Doom) attaches to the Astral Plane as well, in addition to the Earth and Nil connection.
Serenwilde Commune advocates Pure Nature (Nature before the coming of the Taint).
The Glomdoring supports the Wyrd (Synthesis of Nature and the Taint; Nature cleansed from the Taint; Nature reborn after experiencing death from the Taint).
The City of Magnagora fights for the Taint (Changing essence of Kethuru).
Serenwilde has the Aspects of White Hart and the Avatars of Mother Moon (Albion, Selene, Luna) in Ethereal Serenwilde.
Glomdoring has the Aspects of Brother Crow and the Avatars of Mother Night (Lhiannan, Glumki, Gwyllgi) in Ethereal Glomdoring.
Magnagora has the Demon Lords of Nil (Ashtorath, Nifilhema, Gorgulu, Luciphage, someoneelse) in the Cosmic Plane of Nil.

No wonder you're in Glomdoring. We're like the anti-vowel org.
Gwyllgi? Wyrd? Wydyr?

Gwyllgi? Wyrd? Wydyr?
As opposed to Harmony abilities (Akhooshlumang, Chuuti, Akhangooshkrak, etc) and the mind-boggling syllables of kepheran names (Hementen, Mumhatuti, Sethetmun, etc)
Unknown2009-03-04 11:06:15
On that note, how do you pronounce Wydyr? I actually pronounce it as 'wider'.
Shiri2009-03-04 11:31:49
Widd-irr.
Unknown2009-03-04 12:16:34
So, that'll be something like 'weed-ire"?

I pronounce it more like "Wid" (like "with" but ending in a D instead of a TH), "Err". Though sometimes "Ear" instead of "Err". I guess I haven't settled on one pronunciation yet.

No, not even remotely. (This doesn't work as well when people have different accents...)
Xenthos said it. It's more like "ear" than "err" but with less of a y sound. Irr. Like irradiated.

So...actually, I can't imagine how that sounds. I just totally messed up my head trying to imagine how you guys pronounce Wydyr.
Maybe I should start pronoucing Wyrd as 'weird' instead of 'ward', and Wydyr as 'weirder'. Would solve the whole thing.

"ward"? Wow, I think I would have to talk to you to get your vowel sounds figured out. Wyrd is supposed to rhyme with weird, for the record.
