I rather like it, but I have to say that Somaria's expression looks a little...uncomfortable. Perhaps of the "Please stop painting me I hate being painted " variety. That may be on purpose, but personally I think it would be more aesthetically pleasing were she to be paying attention to her husband or at least less focused on the viewer. The placement of her arms is also a little odd.

The "black circle" musical notes really bug me because, as far as I recall, there are no "black circle" notes in music... that kind of note should have a line on it, or be "open" like a whole note.
They look like whole notes to me.

Except that whole notes are not filled in. Vionne is quite correct on the detail of the notes.

Given the way it looks, a little bit more shading on the edges wouldn't change much. It looks like a good enough whole note to me but it could be bolded and filled in abit more but the point gets across.

I'm sorry, this is simply unacceptable...your staff only has four lines!
Otherwise it looks good.

I liked it better with the quote on the bottom.

Note-bondage.

I'm glad I'm not the only one twitching over the staff and notes.

I think it's a lovely picture. If you worry about every little detail, sooner or later it won't be "yours".
The only probably I see is that it's not distinctly Lusternian.

You mean that a bard and a furry lady isn't Lusternian enough?

No. That could be any of a thousand other Muds, or even another IRE game.
Razenth2009-03-13 03:21:48
Forget even just MUDs. There's an entire furry subculture that this could be placed into...
Still is a lovely pic though.

Maybe if there was a background that was more clearly Lusternian? It's obviously and clearly Daedalion and Somaria, though, I have to say. Even if she looks like a terrified abuse victim instead of the expression I more associate with her.
Krackenor2009-03-13 04:00:58
Oh, I like the picture. I was just being nitpicky.
Somaria2009-03-13 05:04:47
Amatsemaru's wasn't NEARLY as Lusternian. She got runner up.
And as for Somaria's expression, yeah, I was trying to capture the more innocent side of her that somehow got lost in all the drama. It's been emerging more and more often lately since she can relax without Fain in her life.
Lately she's becoming more of the stern but very loving and supportive mum to her kids, and a much quieter wife to Daedalion, letting him lead for once. Hm. Maybe I'll have to draw another to fix her.
Because I can see where she may look -too- innocent at the same time.

You really need to put that quote back in. It adds so much to the picture, and really tells the story behind it, and makes it more lusternian.
