Unprotected Bashing Areas

Now don't take this offensively, but is there any way more unprotected bashing areas could be created? As it is now, that I know of, there just aren't many at all. If you want to bash at a high level, you're stuck with Astral or the Undervault. If you bash the Undervault, almost either way you go, you're looking at being hunted yourself whether you do kephera or illithoid. If you hunt Astral, you might as well bend over and kill your behind goodbye unless you can fight well enough to scare the opposing players.

I know that this game basically revolves around conflict and that's actually a good thing, as long as people can still do other things without having to worry about being jumped 24/7. Now, I won't get into the pk structure because frankly, that will do nothing but draw flames. I just want to be able to bash for now then worry about pk after I get a high enough level to compete or am bored with it.

Spectres.
Krokani/Aslaran in the moors.
Mugwumps/Parasites in the asylum.
UV tunnels.
Stuff in the seas (Quinotaurs, sharks, fish, and so on)
Moose in the mountains.
Mutts in the city.
Gravediggers/TBC.
Snowcats/Mammoths.
Serenwilde Novices.

I dunno if these qualify as "high level." Maybe quinotaurs and gravediggers. Tunnels suck. I hate the tunnels.

Heh, thanks but that stuff doesn't seem to be for above maybe level 60 or so and I'm at 74. Also, none of it gives decent gold aside from krokani/aslarans and they're -always- bashed out.

Spectres - you have to fight through the droves of mag novices and people looking for credit rewards.
Quinotaur - I get threatened to be enemied to Celest for being in their territory.
UV tunnels - don't seem to give any gold at all.
Moose - hardly drop any gold.
Mutts - these are for novices, I think.
Gravediggers - I haven't tried these yet.
I've also never bashed mammoths, snowcats, or the asylum, and bashing Seren novices is devil's work. tongue.gif

Try TBC. Good gold if you turn it all in and good xp.

Just don't complete the quest because you'll get enemied to Celest/Seren.

Parasites. 25 total, drop 175-225 gold per, sellable for 75 per. Mugwumps are less money, good xp and offer nicely.
and there's a censor.gif load of them.
I bash them when possible, and I'm circle 80 something.

Mutts are slow, but killing the zoo creatures when they go crazy is worth 500 gold per.

Inner Sea isn't "Celest Territory". Unless you're enemied to Kelpies, they would get suspect on you for killing you. They're just trying to keep a prime hunting spot to themselves.

Moose aren't great, but can be sold ( I think ) . Same with snowcats and mammoths.

As for spectres, yeah. 30 spectres = 10 spikes = 1 credit. So 30 spectres is technically 6k. 200 gold per spectre is a good average.

The trick is to appear out of nowhere, brain them and then disappear before the Swarm arrives. You get good exp up until about 70 from them,. then you need to go after the mid 50's. Best hunting is in the stores and, sometimes, guildhalls if you can squeeze in.

I find bashing astral linked mobs in squads is the fastest way to go. But then again it seems like you want gold drop too which doesn't happen with linked mobs. I haven't been jumped on Astral yet either. I mean I do have a gem of cloaking but the people I bash with don't always. For your level currently it may be hard for you to do this but once you get to like 80 or so, depending on how much health you have its a very good way to gain experience.

Thanks, I'll try these areas before I start bitc...I mean, fussing again. biggrin.gif

Moose, can't be sold, but they can be used to get lions out, and if you get all 5, you can get 2.5k gold.

High level bashing spots are fine. I want high level influencing spots that are -not- guards. sad.gif

Who do you sell gravedigger/fisher corpses to? I've just been using them as illdrain fodder.
Aison2009-03-16 04:52:29
You will go far with a group.

The UV tunnels are awesome for higher levels, although the lack of a gold drop is a little sad. However, a trade skill or influencing with begging and/or selling esteem, or bashing other places (purely for gold), or questing, makes up for it.

There's also aether bubbles like Xion, which are great exp and great gold.

Unknown2009-03-16 04:55:11
The lack of gold is what turns me off to group bashing. That plus some of these people are just plain crazy. For me, gold means more than xp, actually. So, if an area is good xp but doesn't yield a decent profit, I'm just not interested.

Edit: How would I get to Xion, or other aether bubble type places?

I'd suggest discarding that policy for the next 5.5 levels. Go back to it once you're 80 and have a bit of a cushion, but for now you really should hit that goal if you plan to bash. After that, experience really doesn't matter much unless you're planning to aim for Demi.

Just hunt enough gold-stuff to keep yourself with herbs and potions.

That's what I used them for. They gave good ego and were easy to kill.
