Just think, it could've been 40s.
Anyways, yeah, saplings are brutal, but Gregori will never concede that. He's theguy envoy who thinks druids need a buff to their demesne power.

Actually I am the guy who made a whole big post about how saplings need to be changed. It doesn't change the fact that they have been this way for a very long time and he is the only one who can't seem to mulch after being told 10 times to mulch.

Narsrim, you've been disconcerting me lately with posts of unbiased rationality on forums (plus the fact that you were Kirby. You'll forever after be pink and bouncy in my head).
What does the Ascendant message mean, Celina? It sounds like it's saying that you can't break a meld because there is an ascendant in the local area...but it means something else?

It means that your meld-breaking has been slowed down by a second or so due to an ascendant with affinity in the meld...
...
OR that your meld-breaking has been stopped by illusions or trying to bisect the demesne, and completely unrelatedly an ascendant is in the area!

Oh that is kinda misleading (the second circumstance) and also potentially unfair, if the Ascendant is trying to be sneaky or something, surely?

It's a bug in the text display, instead of displaying the unbreakable due to X message it shows the Ascendant line. It's been bugged before, must be hard to track down.
Shiri2009-03-17 15:00:11
It's not really unfair since you can always tell whether you can break or not as evidenced by what the terrain in the room actually ends up as...but yeah, it's been confusing people for ages.
Unknown2009-03-17 15:15:49
No, no, I meant unfair for the Ascendant if they are lurking about, unrelated to the demesne's ownership.

I was just thinking the same thing. It's really pretty amazing.
I have to agree - there were things Ciaran could have done better, but the eq loss there was ridiculous. That should be fixed.
Nydekion2009-04-22 19:59:34
Gotta agree here. 20 sec off eq for a single mistake is rather ridiculous.
