Maaaan, I managed to miss this. Who wants to do another one?
Choose a date, get some others, and I may be able to show up!
Fern2009-12-14 06:25:28
Hear that? We could has a Charune! Let's make a plan!
I work retail, so I'll be very busy through Christmas, but I do have days off here and there that I can squeeze in time to meet some of y'all, if you're interested.
If anybody else wants to do a meet up, speak up! Say some dates that are good for you! I'm willing to work for this!

I wouldn't mind traveling if it's held close enough to me, and depending on when it is.
Charune2009-12-21 06:00:50
Pick a time in the coming week and I'll see if I can be there.
Fern2009-12-21 06:17:52
As a rule, I have Thursdays and Fridays off. However, I can do most weekdays after 4 pm.
I actually live in Northern Virginia, not MD, but I'm not too far.

Another Marylander, here.

How about this snow... yahoo for snow days, even if it wasn't quite warranted for a full day.

The grocery stores were hilarious. Nothing like MD noob shopping craze before a large storm. People go gd bonkers. *sips hot chocolate, cheers to your Marylanders out there* Stay safe!

Tomorrow's weather.com weather simply says "blizzard". I am bracing for power outages. Sigh...

Ha, so true. Everyone is stocking up around here. I love the Maryland winter noobishness, especially when they whine about 34 degrees being cold.

This weather is incredible. My feet are soaked!
We managed to drive around in an SUV earlier and, of course, were greeted with the pelting of snowballs from drunk college kids. Gotta love it here.

Know the 4th floor balcony of the View? Drinking heavily, a couple years ago I made a 3-4 foot in diameter snowball that weighed 150-200lbs. I got it on the ledge and pushed it off towards the foot path that goes across the stream behind the building..
And.. it got within 5 feet of some girl when it crashed on the ground, shaking the entire area and causing a massive ripple shockwave to spread about 30 feet in every direction. Um, the poor girl did a backflip pretty much. Oh sweet baby Jesus, that was the funniest damned thing ever.

Man, you guys have no idea about winter noobish-ness. I live in Georgia. If there's even a flurry people drop loads in their pants.
Ixion2010-02-06 10:53:05
I'd argue you on that one, just like if it rains people freak out and drive like retards.

All the furniture on the deck out back is officially invisible at this point in time.

Gosh, I can't believe it's still snowing. I wonder if I can even get outside...
T minus two hours until the most epic snow ball fight ever. Should be like 2000+ people. If I don't come back, I was tragically lost in battle.

I'd be there for sure but I'm having a nice lunch in my apartment with friends instead. Enjoy!
