I just thought that, seeing as how messed up my character's logic is, I'm wondering if I could convince him that Opening Shove done with a shield is not actually an attack. Looks like it doesn't matter anyway.

Edit: Hrm, wait. So can he wield a spiked shield AND a light shield at the same time?

No. Spiked shield is a light shield. The description I posted says you can't have 2 shields at once.

It acts as a light shield, since you are proficient in light shields. You'd get +1 AC and +1 Reflex.
