Would be useful if you could use it at that screen where Clotho asks for a name.

You guys cut me to the bone!
This was a little pet project of mine--I've been wanting a namegenerator that was unique to each race for years and this is the final product. The namegenerator that Fain is talking about was complete crap and this is something completely different.
Of course, with any random generator, you are going to have drek come out. It is up to the guides and playerbase to help shepherd newbies who use this tool (hmm, lleg is a bit awful.. what about modifying it to lleagia). However, this isn't only for newbies but also creative writers and builders who want to draw on names using the traditional racial culture. Anyway, some sounds of race names are completely unique, while some are inspired by real world cultures.
If you believe there are some races generate consistently poor names, let me know which ones and I'll work on improving it.

Maybe reconsider humans a bit. There doesn't seem to be much of a rhyme or reason. Perhaps if they were based more on the pseudo-english, french, and... (I haven't found them yet!) third tribe names.
@Shaddus: Those are the best namegen wins I have seen yet.
Other than that, I was a little too quick to "shoot it down" (but really, watch out for the Kongregites!) and can see the great value of having this around. Thank you, Admin!

I mainly use the namegen to amuse myself when I'm not doing anything much
Vhaas2009-03-21 08:28:24
This is an outrage. There are no pseudo-Arabic names!

The elfen names sound decidedly Sindarin.

I was very fond of it.

I think this is great. And the extra silly names that wouldn't work are quite entertaining for me.

Viscanti names have a mild Arabic influence (kind of, sort of).

I've always enjoyed Viscanti names.

Viscanti Female - 35. Hadme
Wonder if I can use this, and then start the Athello family.
