We seem to be in different time zones. I normally wake up to a few pages of posts (except for the longest night ever, where I posted and was told to shush because it was still night), and I don't see much point in posting purely for the sake of posting. I like to hear everyone's thoughts, so if it's just two or three people going round with each other, I normally won't jump in unless I think there is a good point to me made, but rather wait to hear what everyone says.
Solanis is acting differently than the last game I had with him, but he was Satan last game, so I'm not sure what that says. What is his usual style of play?
It seems that mafia members tend to either not speak much or to speak a ton, so Shiri would be on my list too, although again, I don't know Shiri's normal style of play here.
I'd like to hear Shamarah's role. I don't think it would be dangerous for the town, even if ends up being a roleblocker/doctor, because it's not like a normal mafia game where the mafia kills someone, making him a night target. We already got two of the non-vanillas and the joker can only convert not kill. There's only a 75% chance that one of us was converted last night (well, unless the joker can convert more than one, I'm still confused on that issue), so the chance that someone was converted and got an anti-town role and that role can kill would be pretty slim I'd think.

After that pitiful attempt at grasping at solanis, I'm going to keep my vote firmly on Shiri.
someone poke me if new information actually becomes available.
Also, Dugan has my FOS

Sorry, let me rephrase.
Putting people into "damned if I do, damned if I don't" situations, and then further pressuring them even after they complain about being in that situation is just scummy. (most people with something to hide won't acknowledge the pickle in fear that it makes them look guilty)
((I'm amazed how much better I've gotten at this since watching "Lie to me" on fox. ))

We have a bunch of people with less posts than the mod there, and Fania isn't one of them. Mm. Renthur will need a facekick from Casilu, Shaddus will hopefully wake up and be useful today since he forgot he was in the game, Shamarah isn't being helpful but we at least have his claim, and I have no excuses in particular for Doman, Zynna and Diamondais. Tekora is aggroing on Dugan, who HAS been acting kinda weirdly.
Excuses for what?

Sorry I haven't been here today. Didn't know I would be gone so long.
I guess you can go ahead and vote for me if you want Kiriwe. I didn't know I would be gone all day. I wasn't at work, so I wasn't posting much. (If I'm not logging out let me know. I don't want to make it look like I'm lurking on days I'm not at work )
It would be hard for me to know about Renthur either way. He's very quiet most games. Although this game he's been almost completely absent, so I would rule him out.
Kiriwe seems to be acting a lot less suspicious in this game, which totally makes me suspicious of her. It's hard to tell though, cause we both started with the Mario game, (from what I remember) so it's really hard to know if she hasn't gotten better since the start.
I'm gonna FOS Daganev for getting ideas from Fox shows.
I do wonder about Shamarah's role, because with the last bunch there Silferras' role was dangerous, and no it wasn't a bad thing to kill her.
@ Diamondias We haven't heard you talk much. That's what Shiri was talking about.
Anyways I wont have anything really important to say until I've woken up more.

...the thing you just criticised is ALL you do. Like, ever.
Solanis wasn't in a damned if you do, damned if you don't situation. If he hadn't done that stuff to START with it wouldn't be a problem, and if he didn't threaten to just blindly follow your vote now, it wouldn't be a problem. Those are two seperate events. You can play them both wrong, both right, or one wrong and one right. Sheesh.
Also I have no idea what pickle you're talking about.
EDIT before I post: ok now I get what pickle you mean, was thinking the vegetable. Unfortunately it's just blatantly wrong. People complain about that kind of pressure ALL THE TIME if they're scum, even when it isn't actually the case.
Diamondais: excuses in the sense that I have no explanation for why those people haven't been saying a lot, as opposed to Shaddus, or reasons why we should consider not voting for them anyway, as opposed to Renthur (might be a waste of time if he gets mod poked/replaced) or Shamarah (claimed abnormal from night 1...still potentially a threat, but eh.)
Zynna, when mafia post a lot, it's frequently very obvious (see, Daganev on day 1, although it turns out he was just playing terribly.) When they don't post a lot, it's not obvious, for obvious reasons. That's why kicking lurkers is important. And yes, this is my usual style. I'm normally pretty good with it too.
Diamondais2009-03-26 15:58:13
Thank you, I wasn't quite certain what you meant. I don't have much of an excuse besides minor distractions every now and then, or just plain not online.
Shiri2009-03-26 16:05:57
Anyway, comp is spazzing and I'm off to sleep soon, but don't just take Daganev's word for this stuff because he keeps saying things that are blatantly false, nonsensical or completely misdirected. If townies end up just going along with that, especially in a game like this where anyone could be a townie one day and a scum on the next, instead of reasoning through things, we're going to lose.
Vote's still on Solanis, willing to consider Dugan or maybe Diamondais (Dugan more so.)

Oh, one last thing: it might be nice to know Shamarah's role, but it's going to be a pain to tell if it's true (I would have believed Silferras before she died) and we have every reason to believe he has incentive to lie. And remember that in Jack's case, it would have been better not to claim, although Shamarah's already partly out and odds are against another bomb effect. I don't know how it weighs up for sure, eh.

Okay, since it's going down this route, there's no point in hiding it. The reason I'm not convinced that Jack is what he claims is that I was the one who was converted last night. I'm now a pro-town retired arsonist who can PRIME one person at night (strange since they're not supposed to, though I guess the dice rolled that way and the role would be useless otherwise) and then IGNITE during the day to kill them. In short, I'm a one-shot townie dayvig with a weird setup.
You would have believed that she was a pro-town arsonists? Seriously?
Daganev2009-03-26 17:22:35
Shiri, Do you mind supporting your assertions with some facts? Because so far, I have no clue what you are talking about.
What do I do all the time?
You pushed him into a trap which was good. But he passed the test, and yet you still pushed on him.
You keep claiming that you were correct, and that you were right all along, but I have no idea what you think you were correct about. You were not correct about Jack lieing, which you thought he was. (well actually it's hard to tell what you really thought, because your rational kept changing) And you were not correct about Silfferras being a plain vanilla townie either.
Can we just get this over with and lynch Shiri?

Seriously, I'm getting tired of these accusations that I'm not making sense or saying stupid things without any direct quoting. And along with the fact that the majority of people here seem to understand what I am saying, even if they just happen to dissagree. (which is fine, reasonable people can dissagree.) But Shiri just isn't being reasonable.
Fania2009-03-26 18:09:18
I PMed Casilu recently. She told me that: There were no multiple conversions on night one nor can there be now. There were more than one on night zero. (Not a direct quote mind you, just rehashing what she sent me.)
I don't like how manipulative Shiri has been throughout this game. She's pointing to Dag about his accusations, but his accusations are based on facts that have been used to determine scum in other mafia games. Not just the games here but in Mafia games overall. (You can look up mafia on the web and find links that will support Dag's suggestions).
Shiri seems overly obsessed about finding people's roles and how they might affect her.
If anything I've learned that the people who get the most worked up about someone not roleclaiming usually have the most to lose. These same people might not believe someone's roleclaim because that role could destroy them. I learned this when Rika jumped all over me in the Mario game because I wouldn't role claim(my fault too, because I escalated the situation cause I thought she might be scum). Shiri jumped all over Jack and now seems to be planning to jump all over Shamarah. Anyways, I think Shiri has a power role, but isn't telling us what it is, so either way she's scum to me.

Good to see you about, Fania. I miss your crazy posts : (
I'm going to have to agree with Daganev, finally, because watching Shiri hound the crap out of Solanis is painful, when it's obvious (at least to me) that he was just playing around in the beginning, and has settled into a newbie type thing of following the person you believe to be town, which I do 90% believe Daganev is town.

Oh, also, I get the feeling that Shiri is lying about sending the PM. Casilu replied to my email and quoted all the stuff I said back to me. I find it strange that she didn't do this to Shiri. Casilu wont tell me if there was a conversation with Shiri or not (or maybe I just haven't asked the right question yet). If she is the joker she wouldn't have needed to speak with Shiri at all.
Daganev2009-03-26 18:30:02
Oh right meant to respond to that ...
"sent mail" only gets saved if you click the checkbox at the bottom of the initial PM "save message" then it gets saved into the "sent mail" folder.
Fania, that is a silly thing to not believe shiri on. Shiri could have easily sent a mesage to Casilu saying "Did you tell Shamarah that I converted multiple people?" and gotten a "no" response. And I think this is something that the Joker would want to know and ask about so they know what to lie or not lie about.

Oh that's true about she could have asked about Shamarah so I take it back about her not actually sending the pm. I'm just surprised that I got my message quoted back to me, and Shiri seems to have lost what she sent.
Fania2009-03-26 18:34:33
Bah not lost what she sent, but Casilu sidn't quote her as well. It's possible she didn't, but if Casilu had quoted everyone else back in their PM then it would be really strange that Shiri wasn't quoted back as well.

Oh! yeah that is a good point and something I missed.
It does seem strange that Shiri would claim not having his original question, unless he knows it's an incriminating question.
