Who would be left to confirm it? Who else, if they were switched to an abnormal, would want to come out and say it?

Being an abnormal isn't bad right now, after all we aren't trying to lynch Shamarah. We just need to get rid of the cult leader, who I'm certain at this point is Solanis.
Shamarah2009-03-31 23:41:54
Just hurry up and lynch Daganev already, it's obviously the correct move in this circumstance. Diamondais you might as well just go ahead and vote for him, we know you're both cult anyway.

Correction you know. We have to decide if we will believe you or not. I find it scummy to rush people into a decision. We need to be careful with this vote.

Shamarah's claim is fairly convincing, and Daganev's replies seem highly implausible. However, I'm still not entirely trusting Shamarah, given how he had been behaving for the past two Days. He's all quiet and making pretty much one-liner posts, and when Shiri gets lynched, he suddenly goes full force. I'm still deciding if this is a good thing or not.
kiriwe2009-04-01 01:28:38
Well, the way I see it, would Shiri have gone so wholeheartedly after Daganev if he hadn't changed him?

I mean, if he knew Daganev was vanilla, and had managed to swing our vote, he would only buy himself one night, definately not long enough to satisfy his win condition. However, if we had lynched Daganev and he turned up as a convert of some sort, our suspicion would probably be lessened, and we most likely would place our votes elsewhere.

Vote: Daganev

I'm not completely convinced either way, but yes, I believe Shiri would have still gone after Daganev. Makes it easy to go after the vocal, convincing, and often right people first and save the rest for later.

When he was in a situation where if Daganev came up vanilla he dies? I doubt it. Shiri is a smarter player than that.
Shamarah2009-04-01 01:51:33
I actually didn't think about that but you're quite right, that must be what Shiri was hoping for in trying to push a daganev lynch.
Diamondais2009-04-01 01:57:18
Vote: Daganev then.
Fania2009-04-01 01:57:53
You guys do realize that if Shamarah is lying, and Dag is vanilla, the town will lose, right? Only vote for him if you are certain he's scum.

@ Kiriwe I don't know what Shiri's motivations were. If you can't think of a reason I'd say maybe Shiri's goal wasn't to win the game, but to beat Dag. I need to think on everything in a bit. I'll be back in a few hours. Please don't lynch anyone until then.
Reiha2009-04-01 02:03:28
Vote: Daganev

The fact he's voting for me, I think he's lying. I didn't make a vote because I wasn't convinced Tekora or Shamarah (I recanted that one) were cultist/scum whatever. And my gut instinct about Tekora was right.

I only make long posts if I actually have something to say that takes up a long post. I don't make long posts just for the hell of it.

This makes me think you're a cultist.

The Unofficial Vote Count
Diamondais (0) -
Daganev (6) - Shamarah, Dugan, SOlanis, Kiriwe, Diamondais, Reiha
Shamarah (1) - Daganev
solanis (1) - Daganev

If I didn't count wrongly, its 7 to lynch, so Daganev is at one vote away.

Lol wrong. we lose according to daganev's faulty logic. But Shamarah already corrected that.

I'm almost 100% convinced daganev is the cult leader. And Diamondais and Fania are cultists.

I also have a theory about the cult leader: in normal games, if the cult leader tries to convert scum, they die. I think it's the same in this game, except he dies if he tries to convert an abnormal. That FULLY explains why daganev's motive for killing Shiri. Maybe Silferras and Jack also, but daganev was probably converted night 1 unless there were 4 conversions on night 0.
(NB this is just a theory, may not be true)
Zynna2009-04-01 02:58:53
Is there a redirector role? I don't mean in this game in particular, but in general? Thinking about it, I don't see how both Dag and Sham could both be telling the truth.
Unknown2009-04-01 03:15:39
That's because they're not. Daganev is cult leader. There is a redirector role around, or at least something that can muddle up other people's powers.
kiriwe2009-04-01 03:22:15
And by "around" he means the role exists in Mafia

It's highly unlikely that we have one in this game
Unknown2009-04-01 03:56:26
Yes. If only three conversions on night 0, then there were four abnormals. Jack, Silferras, Shamarah, and the (possibly) cult leader. There COULD be one unaccounted-for abnormal but we don't know.
