Rules Which I Have Stolen (And Edited) That You Must Read Despite The Obnoxious Title Capitalisation

Voting is required to be in the format Vote: Fain. Abbreviations and/or IG names are okay as long as they are comprehensible and widely known. Voting must be bolded to count.

Please unvote if you wish to change your vote. This is encouraged so as to make vote-counting easier, but I won't penalise you for revoting without including the unvote. Day lasts until one of the following happens: a player has a majority of votes, no lynch has a majority of votes, or a deadline comes.

Once a player or no lynch hits a majority, it is Twilight. No amount of unvoting will make any difference. You may continue to talk until I post the results of the lynch and declare that it is Night.

I reserve the right to call a deadline at any time if a day is taking too long. At deadline, the player with most votes will be lynched. In case of a tie, no one will be lynched.

After the day ends and the lynching occurs, it is Night. At this point, if your role allows it, you may talk to people via PM or PM your night choices to me. If you do not declare your night-choice within a reasonable window of time, I will count that as ‘No Action’. I will say reasonable as 24 hours, unless I know you will be gone for that time, message me if you will and exceptions will be made

Day will restart as soon after Night deadline as possible.

Do not quote anything relevant to the game from outside the thread. That includes PMs or parts of PMs from me, PMs from people you can talk to at night, or random observations third parties make elsewhere.

Do not talk about this game outside the game, unless your role permits. Only talk at night with your PMs. The conditions under which you may talk will be included in your role PMs.

Do NOT edit your posts. Ever. Period. Even to fix typos. Double post if you have to.

If you're not going to be available for more than 72 hours, let me know. If you're not going to be available for more than a week, I reserve the right to find a replacement.

I reserve the right to modkill anyone who breaks either the game or these rules. They really aren't very hard. If you are unsure as to whether you are breaking a rule, PM me to clarify.

I am always right, except when I'm not.

As a note, I'm not going to be modkilling people for determining scum by looking at people's profile views. It's your own fault if you get caught that way. Don't PM via the profile, because everyone can see you visited theirs.

Role is going out now!

This should be interesting.

Random.org says Vote: Fania.
Shiri2009-03-22 03:55:40
I don't think it's started yet, she'll post when it has.

Yup, listen to the badger.

Sorry, disregard. I didn't read that we were starting on night. sad.gif

It's a bit pointless to not start at night, since the only thing that makes sense is to vote no lynch otherwise. Because of the objective of the game, and the sort of info you can or can not get.
Casilu2009-03-22 04:23:10
WELCOME TO DAY ONE!

VOTE COUNT:
NONE!
Fania2009-03-22 04:37:17
Yay first real vote! Vote: Renthur cause Random.org tells me to do things!
Diamondais2009-03-22 04:47:41
The dice told me 14, so Vote: Shaddus
Shiri2009-03-22 04:52:12
Ok...that was quick.

In any case, we'll probably be looking for totally different scum signs this game (if the 3-4 vote thing was ever useful it would be here, but others like obvious collaboration not so much.)

Also, judging by the way the game is set up, some (but not all) of the converts are likely to be threats to us. If they all were we'd lose because they can be made as fast as we can lynch them and they could really be anyone, even people we liked yesterday. If they all WEREN'T we'd win as soon as we killed the joker, which isn't implied by the text.

I'm going to Vote Daganev because even if vote lynch would be valid during a day start, it would be valid during a night start too because we have no cop or roleblocker so there's no information we can get during the night, only an opportunity for the joker.

May change to anyone voting randomly to hide instead of posting discussion after this though ninja.gif
Shiri2009-03-22 04:52:36
er, got the day/night start thing backwards
Fania2009-03-22 05:25:06
Too bad it's so late...we might not get a whole lot of talk right away.
Unknown2009-03-22 05:32:52
Well, the joker HAS to be someone who was around in the last two hours. :EVILCACKLE:
kiriwe2009-03-22 05:48:36
Posting to say I'm here, and I don't random vote.
Shiri2009-03-22 05:49:30
That makes sense, but it only rules out Europeans (that aren't Jack because he keeps weird hours like me.) How many people does that match?
Jack2009-03-22 05:50:55
La de da Mr Weird Hours. Forgive me for having crippling insomnia!

Also: I was targetted by the Joker last night and am no longer vanilla. Still pro-town.
kiriwe2009-03-22 05:52:21
ORLY?
give us moar
Jack2009-03-22 05:52:58
If you lynch me/nightkill me, you die.

ORLY indeed. Do you have any useful powers for us? Obviously we can't just take your word for it that you're pro-town, but yeah.

(Is it to our benefit to have changed people claim in future? Hm.)
