Here's an idea, let's put heretic able to be cured by focus mind? I shouldn't have to have a trans ability just to survive it.
Llandros2009-04-03 21:41:44
So in summary Talkan slammed Charune for lying to Charune so that Charune would have an excuse to cry about things he didn't like or think was fair - and then he turned around and agreed with the lie, that he created and blamed Charune for, and that he tried to defend Charune against in the first place.

Does that sound right?

We ARE speaking about someone who was shouting for joy about their new chamber pot.

Don't forget about where I thought Charune was Ethelon because of his signature. In closing, focus spirit has not always cured the inquisition train, although it has always hidden the glow. Amaru was the largest announcer of this, however a lot of people - for a VERY long time - thought it was a myth he started so people would drain their mana for an absolve kill.

Which is still the biggest argument some people who can't do simple math have against fixing the Inquisition chain. They claim that you should be able to focus spirit on infidel because it has such a large mana drain. However, if anyone does the math, a Sacraments user must spend 6 power to achieve infidel where the target would then focus spirit. Absolve takes 8p, leaving 18 seconds for the target to regain enough mana to avoid absolve. Coupled with the fact that, if you have any intelligence, you don't focus mind a hundred times, you'll never actually reach half mana in the first place.

Since this has not always been the case since 2004 and is a recent addition since March of 08, this should be changed. I tried to envoy that Inquisition should have a cure but at the heretic level. This is a more balanced solution as it costs 3p to heretic leaving the sacraments user with 7 power. This gives the target 9 seconds to cure the mana they lost from focus spirit before the Celestine has enough power to absolve and it also presents the target with a situation of choice - which is what balance is, you get something for sacrificing something. Of course, people were against this idea because they had a free way out of inquisition.

It's amazing that you are still unable to rise above the maturity of an adolescent and that you continue to speak about subjects you have no first hand knowledge of.

Your tears sustain me.

Edit: And what in the post you replied to didn't I know? I heard you shout about taking Nil and all that, and the chamber pot it has become. In fact, I quoted it. What part do I have no first hand knowledge of, Talkan?

Or are you so used to trying to force your superiority down peoples throats that you can't see something as a joke? Life doesn't revolve around how cool you think you are, Talkan.

It's ironic you would say something like that on this thread considering you only started it to garner sympathy from others against my character - or in your case, me personally.

If you say so.

So far, I have "run", "focus spirit during heretic to make it harder for him, or focus spirit during infidel to stop it", and... haxx the system to get better nativity tongue.gif Anyone else have suggestions in how I might survive a little longer against Talkan's puissant skills?

Yeah, I tried that. Couldn't afford the 65k just for Serenwilde. Then I would still need Lisaera, Maylea, Moon, Moondancers, Kephera, and now, Charune.

Oh, and then there's the fact that I don't leave a sinking ship, I'm not a rat. tongue.gif

Anyway, you explicitly said on the envoys channel that you added a typo to the inquisition line, Charune.

Adding a typo would seem really silly as we're the ones who fix reported typos.

There was what looks to be a typo which is the reason for the aura hiding. I did not add anything nor change anything about it, as it was there since the first version of Sacraments when Lusternia went live.

QUOTE (talkans @ Apr 3 2009, 05:29 PM) <{POST_SNAPBACK}>
And, as you state, the bug fix happened in March, 2008 which is exactly when the problem began arising. Before this, even though focus spirit was widely known to hide the glow, there was never a report of it stopping the inquisition chain. When you fixed the 'bug' you created another.

Pretty sure this is false from looking at it, as I've stated again. You're free to believe what you'd like, however. In the case of the aura coming up again on its own, focus spirit should have still killed it.

The inquisition line is pending a review anyhow, so this should be moot in the near future.

Moon and Kephera... well, you could try amnesty until you got lucky. Don't know how you'll deal with Moondancers and the three Divine, though. Offer essence maybe? The God might be receptive to essence & reduced fine. I don't know how any of them operate IG.

I don't even know much about how Celestian or any other Divine handle un-enemying. It just hasn't come up for me at all:

EDIT: But, if you're going to stick it out in Mag, I can't offer any combat advice for handling heretic/infidel/inquisition. I've faced it once in the arena, but it only took Heretic to mess me up enough that I died to Absolve. My manual curing is bad.

On that note, I've managed to leave the room a few times while he tried to inqui-meteor me. Got away a few times, he got me once. I'm learning.

Still dunno how he was able to kill me AND get status dropped this last time. chin.gif
