I'd go with the three body mantras just because you get a DMP boost + triple health regeneration that stacks on top of other regens. The +5 to weapon stats isn't that hot imo.

I'd go with body mantras. You also spend less lessons that way since that's a concern for you.

As for your race, it depends on where you plan to do the bulk of your bashing. You'd probably be better off pre-demigod to go with Loboshigaru for the innate L3 regen than Kephera. It's tricky though it depends on what you're fighting. They'd both be solid choices so if Kephera isn't your thing (although mindsense is a decent racial power), Lobo is the way to go.

Yeah, lesson loss stinks when you can't buy credits. And I have to transfer practically all my lessons to the primary pool.

Orginally, that was the reason why I was considering Acrobatics, as all I need for bashing would be up to Contort, whereas for Psymet, it goes up to Bloodboil. However, since Psymet helps more with bashing, and I'm not gonna pump lessons into Harmony anyway, might as well pick Psymet.

Edit: I think I'm gonna go with Kephera, since I don't have the credits for a dagger should I ever reach Demigod. Also, I rather like Kephera. Hrm, I wonder if Kepheras have to be firefly bugs, or if I can pick other bugs...

You also need to consider that Psymet gets progressively better in the bashing department all the way up to trans. Suspended Animation isn't all that hot for combat (because of the downtime), but it's a massive help bashing if something goes sour.

And Narsrim is quite right about harvest, when we get around to it (which isn't as often as we should because it's a bit of a hassle, but worth it) so I'll be expecting your application soon.

They're not like various bug people a la furrikin, they're much more homogenous than that.

Even though you seem set on your race I have to recommend thinking about Furrikin instead. You get faster balance and equilbrium, a free tumble like ability, faster herb balance, and great protection against magic. Not only that but you get the best language in the game, and the ability to look like any small fluffy mammal, small nonfluffy nonmammal, or small nonfluffy mammal you want! This is a good thing since Seren is a big snuggle party, and if you go in as a giant bug no one will give you cuddles... cept maybe other bugs.

Erm, Caerulo's currently a Faeling, I've enough of squishy-ness. And I'm not really hot on the 'snuggle party' thing...

Kephera bends furrikin over its insectoid knee and spanks its little furry ass.

Furrikin is really not as good a monk race as kephera. I won't say it's terrible, it's just not at the top.
