To me, Shiri's claim of Mew trying to find Mewtwo was just as plausible. Ditto was not a clone from the movie, and of all the Pokemon who I thought would be an "imposter", it was Ditto. Hence, I'm not buying her claim.

Dont think we should get too caught up in metadata. Playing the game of guessing the mod is usually a bad one. I try to deal in generalities and probabilities in games like these.

The issue I am having is that if she was scum, and tried to target me (which I know she did) - I am not dead because of someone protecting me, AND there were already two deaths that night. If Myrkr was scum, and I was somehow being protected by someone else, that means that we're dealing with possibly multiple outside groups and a scum group, which I find unlikely.

You don't feel it's possible for Silferras to allow some creative license and throwing in a Ditto?

After all, this is partially based on the movies, not completely. If it was completely based on the movies, then who would the imposters be, logistically?

Makes sense.

UNVOTE

Still suspicious.

Personally, I would still like to hear Llandros' claim.

We were pushing to hear it Day 1, but have all but forgotten about it, unless he did claim and I just missed it somehow...

What bearing does this have on our current conversation? None. You just throw that out there, trying to deflect any attention from yourself that you know you'll probably be getting now that the Myrkr thing isnt panning out. Pretty scummy. I am not going to play "lynch the lurker" - at least not yet.
kiriwe2009-04-12 02:01:14
...I'm not trying to throw anybody off! I was bringing up a point that has been lost.
I'm not voting anybody, just stating my opinion.

I feel like I can't do anything right.
Tekora2009-04-12 02:06:29
Remember what I said, Kiriwe. Don't take it personal. Just because this is a Pokemon-themed Mafia game, doesn't mean it's all sunshine and rainbows. It's still Mafia, which is a game of lying, backstabbing and deception.

That said, I'm kind of annoyed at Balizar right now for hogging up all the protection for himself. I don't think it shows him as scummy, just think that he should share the love a little bit.
Casilu2009-04-12 02:07:02
Then I have a favor to ask, if we have an investigator, look at Myrkr tonight and tell us if she is scum, say nothing if she is not.

If the investigator does that, and then admits that Myrkr IS scum, how are you going to guarantee their safety tomorrow night?
Unknown2009-04-12 02:12:38
Pile on Kiriwe imo

get dis movin
Rika2009-04-12 02:14:27
Meh, okay. Unvote. Vote: Kiriwe

That did seem like a diversion than anything else.
Reiha2009-04-12 02:14:34
I'd rather lynch a lurker.

But Kiriwe is acting awfully naive for a precocious girl.

Vote: Kiriwe

Would you prefer to just have the power-role just sit there and do nothing the whole game on the chance that they might get night-killed? Myrkr's roleclaim is rather odd, considering so far all the ones I've seen have been on the list she posted. However, that also sort of clears her, because she would be an idiot to not stick to the list.

Mafia is a game where being nice gets you killed, most of the time.

I am very suspicious of the way you're acting, but I'm not going to vote for you just yet. I'm going to let you defend yourself, the same liberty that was granted to me.

Nice dodging the question. So, basically, what you're saying is that you don't have any way of guaranteeing the investigator's safety. In that case, your plan sounds like a thinly-veiled attempt to get the investigator to reveal themselves. There are other ways the investigator can make themselves useful without coming right out and saying it.

UNVOTE: Myrkr.

Silf, can we get an updated vote?
kiriwe2009-04-12 02:23:07
How am I supposed to defend myself?

If I voice my opinion, and it's dissenting from the majority, I'm defending somebody.
If I ask questions where I am genuinely confused, I'm being naive.
If I go with what people are saying and it makes sense to me, I'm taking things at face value too much.
If I say that I'm conflicted about somebody's claim, I'm wishy-washy.
If I already responded to the current situation, and try to move in a new direction for leads, I'm deflecting.

I'm not sure what I'm supposed to do at this point.

Yours also sounded like a lovely attempt to get me to admit if I was the doctor. Nice cover there.
Tekora2009-04-12 02:26:41
When did I ask you if you were the doctor? I asked if you had any way of protecting the investigator if they out themselves. You apparently don't.
Unknown2009-04-12 02:27:06
First off, Kiriwe, you never play the victim. Ever. It makes you look scummy and if you are town, it alienates you.

Secondly, you need to learn how to stand your ground. You cant just throw a post out there then agree and back down when someone points out a flaw in your arguement or accuses you of being scummy. Try to follow things through, play your own game, scumhunt. When in doubt, scumhunt. That is my genuine advice to all starting players.
