I've admittedly never yet encountered anyone using this, but couldn't you just... metawake?

Yep, but it's still a lot of wounds and bleeding does stack, and you can't attack, so it does build up eventually. Pierced leg canceling stand sometimes doesn't help either.

Rending morphite doesn't do damage, therefore it strips kafe if they're already asleep.

ah wow thats awesome ... didn't know that! Thanks!

It does yes, but at the same time, it's almost as good as a 1-2 stun every time, and metawake doesn't pulse every half second. The pin and the rend both apply morphite so it can get pretty hectic. With bleeding runes I've heard people go up to 2k+ pretty fast.

So metawake doesn't completely stop you from falling asleep anymore? Does it like just wake you up instantly if you are asleep every time it ticks or what?
Vathael2009-04-08 22:31:24
Yes.
Shamarah2009-04-12 16:42:58
Still, it seems like timed manta would be more effective.
Ashteru2009-04-12 16:44:46
Paralysis is what, 1 second to focus away? I think you can focus with an impaled leg, right? That's not very viable to use. :/ Morphite to get them to sleep and bleed out sounds better

Only if you have trans discipline. It's four seconds at inept.
Vathael2009-04-12 16:52:47
Sure is.
Xenthos2009-04-12 16:53:26
I thought that they reduced it to 3s at inept. Hm.
Ashteru2009-04-12 16:53:57
I always asume that the stuff that would work to your benefit won't, so everyone of my opponents has trans discipline.tongue.gif

EDIT: And yeah, they did. Didn't they also increase the time it takes at trans? Not sure
Vathael2009-04-12 16:56:56
No, trans is the same, the lesser learned speed was increased.
Rika2009-04-12 20:06:16
Wait, I thought if you were less than trans, there was a random factor so it could be between 1 to 3 or 4 lessons at inept.
Desitrus2009-04-13 15:37:25
Anyway, no, the sleeplock is far better than "timed" mantakaya because they can still clot/cure/whatever with mantakaya. A proper sleeplock makes use of the FOUR possible applications of morphite, done correctly they usually don't even have time to writhe the pinlock, let alone sip/clot. Metawake + mass bleeding = WP crater in no time at all.

Why even bother talking about people who don't have trans discipline? They aren't going to have or use Metawake either and you could probably just kill them with bashing weapons and no toxins.
Aidyn2009-06-01 20:24:43
Or they could be me, have Trans everything pertinent in fighting, plus respectable (albeit not ideal) gear with a well-devised healing system, and you could still kill them with bashing weapons. Seriously. From my Skills List:

Then I would ask, why? Why can someone kill you if you have those trans? Answers are probably level and system.
Razenth2009-06-01 22:51:30
I can kill independent of level... suspicious.gif ... but not independent of system.

The answer is a partial mixture of level and just generally sucking at fighting. I am getting better though. The point I was trying to make is simply that skills in-game and skills out-of-game aren't mutually exclusive of each other.
