Man, that's some sweet lineup

Ugh I wish I could go ... Download Festival is always so sick ... too bad I'm not from the UK. Looks like I'll just wait till Gigantour 2009 gets announced and hope for some sweet lineup.

This. Though I want to know what ZZ top is doing there. How the hell do they fit into any of this?

I'd go just to see Opeth and Clutch.....
If you've never heard, or more importantly been to a concert by, either... I pity you

Whoah! Mike Patton is actually doing Faith No More again.

I have to be honest, I was rather dissapointed when FNM were announced. Not a bad I would really go out of my way to see whereas past headliners have been.
That said I get it. After the original announcement I read up on them and I understand now how they influenced so many of the bands I love today, so I may just have to pop along to see them.
Next announcement is Monday night, im expected God Forbid to be announced, and perhaps Heaven and Hell (they're constantly rumoured and their new singe||album is out then).

Is it bad that I would only go to see Motley Crew, Manson, or Def Leppard?

How can you not like ZZ Top?

Meh, I could see them, I suppose.

Any of Mike Patton's projects can be an acquired taste. I enjoy the varied styles blended into his stuff. Of the headliners I would only have an active interest in FNM, Slipknot, and the Crue. Trivium is a bonus but not a band I would go out of my way to see. Of the other bands listed Dream Theater, Killswitch, Sevendust, Down, and Shinedown are bands I would look forward to seeing. Lacuna Coil, Buckcherry, Clutch, Static X, and Tesla also would be good to see.
If I could get over my fear of flying Festival Season in Europe would make a great summer long fantasy vacation.

Dream Theater? Dragonforce? Clutch? MESHUGGAH? VOLBEAT?! These bands are awesome, and so are almost all of the others. You're so lucky, Snaithy.
Not to mention Korn, although they've become somewhat dissected from their original glory, was always one of the best live bands I've ever seen at Ozzfest.
take pictures.

im buying two extra batteries for my phone this year. Got through from the Wednesday until the Saturday last year on one, and that was with using it loads for music (had it plugged into a portable speaker we had) and got some nifty videos and photos of Kiss. Didn't go near the front much last year, only for Offspring, Kiss, Disturbed and In Flames, but I can't help but want to go up front for so many this year
Bit gutted Trivium/Devildriver are on the same time as Def Leppard and Whitesnake, though in honesty im most likely gonna see the latter, as when will I ever see those bands again?
Also Slipknot/Prodigy is a bit of a bummer, I will definately see Slipknot but I so wanted to see Prodigy too

Why can't you see them both? They're both in the lineup, aren't they?
I'm still sad I can't go, living across the so-called pond.
