There was work involved. For some of us.

Aww. And here I thought it was because you wanted to see the poetic justice of having the one who humiliated me so squished.

Well, it was interesting bein in on the whole thing. I thought it would have been a lengthy fight, but it ended in five seconds. I do feel bad for Parabollus for bein robbed of good RP. But to be fair, Seraku would wanted to have squished her if he had heard Zenobia talking about him that way. Yay Dracnari RP
Psh. Your fault for being male and knowing nothing of Kephera culture.
Neferti's still my favourite. She kept calling Renny a stray male.
Unknown2009-04-09 14:51:30
Is it just me, or does Zenobia act like Fain?
Seraku2009-04-09 15:01:00
Nah, seems like more of an eventru type.
Kiradawea2009-04-09 15:30:03
Neither. She's the Overlord of a race of Matriarchal bugs. Of course she's gonna be furious when a filthy male dares to interrupt the conversation between two queens.

What? No she isn't. She was pretty decent both the last two times she was talked to. In fact, ALL the queens have been fairly ...well, I won't call it polite, because they're pretty open about how weird they find our gender roles, but at least not hostile.
And yes I'm talking about other people that aren't me (both because of the gender thing and the honoured companion thing.)

I honestly didn't think I was interrupting when I said what I said. There was a pause, I thought it was safe to speak.
Regardless, to say this is a mindblow for Parabollus would be a complete understatement. He's been taught all his Tahtetso life about the enlightened nature of the kephera, how they are to be revered as spiritual guides and compassionate teachers...and yet when he meets their leader, she explodes on him for a perceived slight, making him feel like the most worthless, miserable lifeform in the Basin with a few sharp, verbally stabbing sentences.
This pretty much shook the foundation of everything Parabollus has held dear. He's been trying to fight the internal demons of self-hatred and self-persecution all his life, and now the leader he once revered told him he was right to hate and persecute himself all along?
Maybe that's not what Zenobia intended, but in Parabollus's mind it was a wake-up call. In his mind, one shouldn't be denied compassion, spiritual uplift and enlightenment just because one's male.
I still dunno what to do with him yet...I'm posting this more to get my thought process going further.
Xenthos2009-04-09 17:53:10
Well... there's plenty of other information out there about the Kepherans not really being "enlightened" (that seems like a rather tenuous premise for a guild-- very easy to prove wrong, as Shiri's already referenced with his comments on how 'understanding' they are of gender differences).
They are actually rather zealot-like in their own way, though. It would seem like that would be a better starting point for the Tahtetso...

heh...enlightened bugs.
I had a mental image of a praying mantis with a diploma and college cap devouring the body of her male. Odd? Most definitely. Funny? To me.

A gravelly voice that hangs in the air, ??? speaks, "The Tahtetso and Shofangi are weak. It is the tolerance and pronounced pacifism of their foul teachings, coupled with hypocrisy that lowers their worth to less than nil."
Parabollus. Listen and repeat:
Peace is a lie, there is only passion.
Through passion, I gain strength.
Through strength, I gain power.
Through power, I gain victory.
Through victory, my chains are broken.
