Looking for mudbot/iluabot.

I'm looking for a mudbot/iluabot. I considered making my own, and imo it's going to take a lot of time, and I'd rather get right into combat. So, if anyone's interested, I'm willing to pay in credits for a mudbot-type thing with good curing. If no one responds, I guess I'll have to make my own. ( :C )

Thanks,
- Zhiren.

If you do make it, I'd pay for it. I like zmud, and I don't like having systems "overwrite" or interfere with my zmud stuff. Which is why I like mudbot.

Likewise, and/or the same offer as Zhiren.

If you are looking for a Whytebot kind of 'out of the box' product, there is none here.

And for that, I am thankful. I think it really played in to making the combat in other games that shall go unmentioned suck, really - it brought people in who should never have been on the scene, enabling a lot of strategies that revolve around 'throw as many bodies as possible with a stable curing system at the problem'. Sure, systems of that nature exist here, but they aren't as powerful or as thorough.

Make your own, and I'll consider paying you to keep it to yourself. I know that I'm keeping mine to myself while I write it, really, or writing a failsafe to ensure nobody else can use it if somebody I don't want using it gets ahold of it.

Rodngar, I like you. I do. But back in Imperian, with whytebot, at least I could BASH. I never PK'd, but I could survive long enough to avoid spending five minutes with my hands tied because someone decided to jump the people I'm with. Saying "don't release a system that works for any program because it makes me mad even though there are plenty of other systems that work for some programs" is kind of a jerk move.

Me? I get along fine influencing and waving goodbye when combat gets brought up. Oh, sometimes I die when a bashing trip turns into "whee let's get jumped!" but whatever.

But I can't even survive two-hits long enough to get back from Astral when I try to help out with stuff that isn't a PK event but involves someone jumping the group. And yeah, there are (out of date, confusing) systems for zmud, but they don't interface with MY stuff. I'd like to have something I can actually feel comfortable using, even if you have some totally irrational objection to it being on mudbot instead of zmud.

D:

Okay. Seems I'll have to actually work. :<

And yeah, maybe I'll just release the autosipping part of it. Nothing spectacular.

This is a terrible thing to say. PvP shouldn't be about who can keep the most information hidden. If you can't beat someone simply because they have a system...well, there you go.

Shamarah considered releasing his MudBot system. Ask him nicely to share? (I'm curious about it myself, I must say.)

I obviously like you a whole lot.

But you're in the wrong here - not being able to code a super-special system of doom should not be an impenetrable barrier to PvP.

There actually was a publicly available mudbot for Lusternia, but it's so old and out of date (and at times unstable) that you'd have to do a great deal of work. Honestly, at this point I use Treant and just hook up Mudbot for the editor and maybe a little speedwalking now and again.

It's not 100% complete, though it shouldn't take that much longer whenever I get off my ass and finish it (it's missing a few things like cleanse cures that I can manual just fine but which I wouldn't really want to release it to other people without). I may or may not release it on the forums for free when it's done. I don't think I can legally charge anything for it anyway because it's directly modified from Whyte's, which is under a public license of some sort (anyone know how that works?) (EDIT: Did some research and it does look as though I could charge for it if I wanted to. Don't know if I will.)

Ahem.

Please, please, please share?
