Does anybody else ever have weird OOC impulses while hunting? I was just hunting quinotaurs, and it suddenly hit me- it would be a lot of fun to take my shofa to Nessie. Which is... weird, really.

Just a throwaway idea, but I was thinking about an OOC hunting area. Does anybody else think that would be fun, or am I just weird?

You wouldn't get exp hunting in an OOC hunting area, I'd imagine. Since it's OOC.

Also, no gold.

And the things wouldn't be able to kill you (deathsight is IC, too), plus you can't kill them (corpses are IC), and they would have no items in any way, shape, or form. The ability to paint would have to be disabled, too...

I don't think this would entirely be appropriate. This is usually what certain clans are used for. To chat about OOC things. Because if your character is swinging, it's IC baby.

Who is Nessie? And why don't you just stab something more rewarding like Trader Bob -- if your org won't DF you for it (or if they do, just do it secretly)

I dunno. It would just amuse me to be able to kill Nessie. And it would work significantly better than... travelling to Scotland and... trying to find/kill Nessie. Yeah.

'nessie' is a less recognizable name for the Loch Ness Monster. Even I had problems discerning if that's what he meant. I mean, if we decided Big Foot's name was Louin, you wouldn't particularly pick it up - especially when I see 'Nessie' and think of a few characters in Lusternia.

Now, I do know what a chupacabra is, what a dropbear is, what a sasquatch is, what a yeti is, and what a Nejii is.

They are all mythical creatures, and the last three are notoriously hairy.

Yup, I hear 'Nessie' a lot too. And I don't think Louin has anything to do with the actual name of the creature, whereas Nessie... Loch Ness... yeah.

What in Estarra's Divine name is this thread even doing in the Ideas thread? It makes little sense to most people, and even that little bit is entirely OOC and has almost nothing to do with Lusternia.
