What is the best class and race to bash with, starting from newton?

I heard Monks were pretty good for bashing and I was guessing Loboshigaru would be good for tanking but I have no idea really.

it depends on what you want. do you want high damage, or high defense? You could do equally well with a Nekotai Illithoid as you would a Igasho Ur'Guard for bashing.

It's hard to say. A race with more CON and resistances will be less likely to die and lose experience, and might be able to fight stronger denizens sooner, but it will take them longer to do the killing. Humans are great purely for their experience bonus, and warriors and monks are great once you get going - it's nice just being able to buy a weapon instead of having to get your skills high enough to summon a good one like with druids and mages. Bards and wiccans seem like the weakest bashing options, though that could've changed since last I played either of them.

Especially with Drink and Nightkiss, those things are unnatural.

Also, demi Geomancer with crit rune, magic damage rune, enchanter and champ. Great bashing setup.

EG and SG in general.

So would an EG or SG be less effective in lower levels? At about what point does their bashing become viable, or is it just Demi/Titan?
