Ah, let's see, the Eurovision Song Contest... A zillion abba-copies, embarrassing shows involving prancing about in underwear and stockings, eurodance with unfathomable gibberish that distantly resembles English or rather, any other language spoken/sung over it and a joke of a monster band some two years ago - oh, I would say my memories are rather fond. /sarcasm

I liked Lordi D: Also, go Sweden!
Daganev2009-05-11 21:45:28
I was always told that the Eurovision contest was the European version of the MTV music awards...

Yes. It is indeed a glamorous and star-studded affair. It is also very credible.
Kiradawea2009-05-11 21:55:50
How cute. Critics who know nothing. I'll admit there are some bad stuff out there, but most of it is incredible. Compare Congratulations and Congratulations. Most songs are not ABBA copies. Nor do ABBA copies win. Hard Rock Halleluja is a great example of this. The contest is filled with great songs, some winners, Un banc un arbre une rue La det Swinge and some not. Kaelakee häal Vi maler byen rød
That's the funny thing about ESC. "No one" watches it, but everyone knows what country they want to win.

Yes, their own
Kiradawea2009-05-11 21:59:23
Cute. Try again.
Jack2009-05-12 03:53:22
Of course I watch it. I watch it to laugh. The English version has Terry Wogan ribbing all the acts mercilessly. I can't even remember what he said when Lordi won, but I bet it was awesome.
Also, "how cute, someone who can't take criticism".
