Oh, and I think Shiri is town, because in previous games when he didn't like me, he was scum(!).
Because that's a reliable way of judging....
Anyway, the death thing seems to be like one of those powers where you don't know what it does. However, I haven't seen anyone claim and go "I'll get X if he dies"; not sure if this would be because a) there isn't anyone who knows that, or b.) they're a scum and so don't want to claim/make themselves a target, or c) they're town and don't want to make themselves a target.

@rika: I think that's a really terrible reason to vote me. How does my bad reasoning make me scum.
And I didn't go THERE'S NO WAY SHIRI IS SCUM!!!!

There's not a lot of reason to claim on the benefit from Llandros' corpse thing. Firstly, there's no guarantee he's a townie and people are unvoting him anyway so even if you thought he was and your role proved it somehow, there's no incentive. Secondly...you might want him dead anyway so you can use his corpse! Thirdly, I have a strong suspicion that with a role like that, if it's true, both a scum AND town group has an interest in it (though I could easily be wrong...and it'd most likely be a scum role if there was only one, because that would add to the gameplay more.)
So I don't think it says a lot either way that no one's confirmed it yet. We'll see.

It either makes you scum or a bad townie. To me, it seems like a win-win situation.

I don't think my statement (WHICH IS BLATANTLY FALSE and MISLEADING) makes me a bad townie and hence a threat to the town.
It was pure speculation with little evidence, I wasn't trying to hoist my views on anyone. Shiri isn't even under -any- suspicion, it's not like that was my reasoning for not voting him. It was a pure "maybe I'll just throw this out there" thing.

And why would you even throw that out there?
Arix2009-05-08 11:25:10
Just a quick post before I go to bed, has anyone heard from Bali or Archer2? They've been very lurky
Unknown2009-05-08 11:25:30
I... felt like it. It was an afterthought. I was like, "oh yay Shiri's not on my case."
Unknown2009-05-08 11:33:22
Anyway, since it seems obvious that you don't want to unvote / you want to just lynch me to get the day over with...
Don't ninja lynch me, someone might want to save me.

Shiri2009-05-08 11:38:25
Well, you could claim now if you think more people are likely to pile onto you, if you have to go now or something.
Unknown2009-05-08 11:50:47
I won't claim now, I don't want to force someone else to out themself. Especially since I'm a 'bad townie', I'm probably not even worth it. Well, we'll see.
kiriwe2009-05-08 12:52:20
I wonder if we are even going to see the result of Casilu's power this day, considering that Shamarah has posted a few times and we haven't seen anything yet.
I have no problem with Diamondais right now. I think she was just having fun with her role, and I don't see why her using one word like that, that really isn't a scum tell in and of itself, would set off a vote train on her.
Playing guess the mod with role alignment is a terrible idea, simply because of the nature of this game. Untill we find out some powers, or we find out some concrete information about all that crap Shamarah posted at the beginning of the day, I am personally going to ignore the flavor of peoples roles, and I highly suggest everybody else do that as well.
I was iffy with Solanis' first post regarding Llandros, and then his vote after other people voted, which pushed him farther down the vote list, made him more suspicious. His accusation of OMGUS in what was clearly not a OMGUS vote, and Daganev's logic regarding the situation, which to me makes sense, (I'm looking at him as most likely townie right now, ) in conjunction with Solanis' lengthy quote post so early in this game makes me willing enough to place my vote on him.
(and then I fell asleep before I posted this, and there is new stuff from Solanis)
Solanis made two posts, and everybody jumped on him for the lame reasoning in the second post, which appeared like a bad attempt to try to get Shiri to stay not voting for him. BUT nobody seemed to pick this out of the post before it.
Zynna's post was... a little awkward with her "trying to start a bandwagon" wording, but Solanis latched on to this and it looks to me like he is grasping at straws trying to go back and explain his actions in as townie a way as possible, but I'm just not buying it.
I don't see how you claiming whould force somebody else to out themselves.

(In regards to Zynna's post)
When I read this, it stuck out. Trying to get another one going: trying to deflect attention to avoid getting lynched. That is scummy. A town person (imo) would defend themselves more calmly, not vote someone because the post in which they voted for him was dodgy in a weak attempt to deflect.
But. I do buy Llandros' claim, so I'm not sure.

There might have been another, more concrete post, but this was the first I came across.

I know what it did now, I didn't before. If it was something that would have effected the day, you would know already. Besides, who would be most likely to have a day action like that?

From what I can see, Solanis seems to be implying that he's a mason or has a partner of some sort, particularly with all the hint-dropping about not ninja-lynching in case someone wants to save him. However, it doesn't make sense for him not to claim, because he doesn't necessarily need to reveal his theoretical partner, nor force them to out themselves - in fact, if he doesn't claim and the bandwagon grows big enough, he's going to force said person to do so - so I'm iffy on that.

You mentioned that if Llandros was town that he wouldn't have jumped on anyone, but rather defend himself in a calmer manner, but I thought he was calm. He just didn't vote for himself, and instead gave FOS on someone else and listed his reason why.
Furien2009-05-08 13:51:09
What's the vote count at? I've unfortunately got a test to go to.
Shiri2009-05-08 13:53:03
I'm thinking like 9, but I haven't actually looked, that's just my guess. We should probably hold off for now.

Based off of that logic (I tried for about a minute and a half to write a proof for it in p->q format but my brain exploded), that means that you're scum.
If Shiri didn't like you in previous games and he was scum (Fact?), and you think Shiri is town in this instance (Fact?), then that means that you must be scum or some sort of faction.
I probably didn't relay why my brain got confused by your post very well, so I'm just going to go ahead and hope and...
