Well, I think the idea was for Shaddus to hint at them in the thread for her to gank. Plus, you could consider it an advantage - there are a bunch of townies who it wouldn't make sense to come up heretic (example: me) so if Diamondais tried to punk me she wouldn't be working in the scum's favour. So that would explain the 1/2 thing.

Shaddus wasn't wrong, Balizar was a heretic. I do support lynch all liars, but in this case I don't think we have reason to suggest Shaddus was lying. Although he was wrong in terms of Balizar's scumminess, I think that makes Shaddus a secondary option for a lynch if we run out of better ideas - and right now Zynna is looking scummier in terms of standard tells, and Aerotan is lurking and being useless (also Reiha and probably 1-2 more) so risking letting them live is unsafe.

Zynna doesn't have many standard tells, and she passed the pressure test already. Aerotan doesn't seem scummy to me at all, nor is he lurking.

There is no rhyme or reason in this game regarding flavor. Shamarah already stated in the sign up thread. Shaddus thinks that heretics vs catholics is something he should look out for. That makes me believe he is a sub group. i.e. non townie.

Perhaps shaddus is a cult leader who gathers non heretics?

it's possible, but Diamondais was on our side, so I don't think the Catholics are bad in the abstract (in the game.)

I disagree on Zynna's tells and pressure test. Aerotan ISN'T scummy because he hasn't said anything worthwhile assessing at all. Same as Reiha.

I reread the role, and it looks like the person had to be a heretic...although I guess that could just be flavour and whoever she decided to kill was by her declaration a heretic. So, perhaps an FOS on him, but he hasn't seemed particularly scummy to me.

I don't think we should read too much into the 'heretic' in Diamondais's role, it looks to me like flavour - i.e. she can vig anyone, 'heretic' by Shaddus's standards or no, but only once every two nights. That said, it's hard to say since our doctor had a post restriction that determines whether or not she can use her skill.

Man, town is so going to lose...

before the heretic thing, Shaddus said less than Aerotan did. Aerotan has alteast been helpfull, Shaddus has not.

To be fair, I'll admit that at least some of my posts have been me asking for clarification on things. I really have been active as I know how to be, though. This is, I think, my fourth mafia game ever, and it's been a while since I played.

That said, I do think the lynch all liars policy is a good one. Lurkers are unproductive, yes, but the liars are being counter productive, even if they are town.

Yeah, and we've lynched two townies (who rageQQ'd, which didn't help their case.) Balitard.

Yes, I haven't had time to think things through. I'll go over everything durring my lunch break (in about an hour or so) and have something to say then.

Do we know this for sure?

It's hard to know for sure unless we have an investigator's confirmation, a use of their skill in a visible way (see: Daganev), or if they're dead, but I posted a list of the claims so far a page back. Feel free to add on to it if I've missed anything.

On that note, I'm off to bed. Will sleep on my suspicions and hopefully have something to post tomorrow!
