This is an old quote I'm posting, but I have a small problem.

Quoting Silfferas, putting people in order of post count:

Who posted in: Miscellaneous Mafia
Poster Posts
Shiri 93 (1)
daganev 77 - used power on D1, ended day and prevented nightkills (one-shot?), Star Wars link
Arix 47 - targeted Kiradawea N1, Shiri N2, ability "fairly useless, since it requires that I target someone with a compatible ability at the same time they happen to be using their power"
rika 33 - (2)
Kiriwe y'Kaliath 33 - some wizard (?) from Harry Potter, dayvig (limited?)
Solanis 33 - claimed vanilla mason with Kiradawea

Llandros 29 - claims advanced cyborg, benefits tech-based roles on death and nightkill-immune from N2 onwards
Zynna 25 - claimed vanilla townie
Reiha 25 (3)
Fania 24 - Frodo
casilu 22 - Offspring/song?, random powers (?) when bolded lines/lyrics are posted during the day
Furien 21 (4)
Aerotan 19 (5)
Silferras 16 (6)
Esano 12 (7)
Shaddus Mes'ard 10 - targeted Llandros N1 (no religion), Bali N2 (heretic), apparently able to find out religious inclinations of target
Kiradawea 8 -- claimed vanilla mason with Solanis, has been 'reporting'
Serella 7 - claimed town ("honestly am town and probably not the most worthwhile target for a lynch") after slight confusion over win condition

Notice that there are 7 people who we know nothing about. Now, lets look at possible scenarios.
4 mafia, 2 SK, 3 cult members = 9 scum. (This means that somebody who we have info on is lieing)
4 mafia, 1 SK, 3 cult members = 8 scum. (This means that somebody who we have info on is lieing)
3 scum, 1 sk, 3 cult members = 7 scum (It's possible that nobody so far is lying)
4 mafia, 2 sk, no cult = 6 scum (It's possible that nobody so far is lying)

My problem is that it's possible that nobody we have preasured yet is scum. It's also possible that we won't have found a scum without getting 2 more roleclaims. However, that would also mean that the scum will have a 1/6 chance of killing off our investigator or other important roles that we might still have.

We have to be carefull how we move forward. (Still want to hear silfferas claim though, cause I still think she is scummy)
Daganev2009-05-15 05:00:40
Shiri, unvote, thats 9 votes so far! 10 to lynch
Shiri2009-05-15 05:01:55
We know there are probably 2 kills out there (this makes me suspicious of the "anti-infidel" thing because why would both groups think of her infidel deal as a priority kill? Hmm...) The cult is harder to pin.
Shiri2009-05-15 05:03:17
unvote due to inability to count

Damnit, I figured out a really reason Frodo was scummy but forgot it while coming to the thread. OTL.

I'm sure I had it, but Unvote Vote: Silferras.

The corruption of the ring?

perhaps they thought her a priest and thus able to heal? or they thought she was a "smiter" and thus a vig?
Shiri2009-05-15 05:09:09
Maybe. Mm.

@Casilu: I don't think that's what I had in mind, but now that you mention it in a really roundabout way the ringbearer could be a cultist of some kind...or a bunch of things that don't involve protecting in a useful way.

I had thought about that too. If I remember, Frodo's ring corrupts the wearer with a desire of power. I could see Frodo giving out the ring to whomever he wanted to see corrupted next (join his cult).
But, that's mod guessing, I suppose, as I could also see that giving someone the ring (power) would give them the strength to be saved and make it through the night.

I am suspicious of Fania's claim, but, I don't want to lynch her on the off-chance she's telling the truth.

not strength.. invisibility

I think I only have 6 votes on me, but I don't think it'll hurt to claim at the moment. My role is IllusorySelf (the Glamours skill), and I have a percentage chance of deflecting nightkills that decreases with each successful deflection. I would prefer not to reveal what the percentage actually is for obvious reasons.

Regarding Fania's claim, I don't think it's too far a reach to think that we might have two doctors in the game, since Myrkr's one was post-restricted. I'm personally wondering if the ring has other restrictions and/or side-effects to go with the protection, but it's probably not conducive to ask too much about that now.
Shiri2009-05-15 06:03:17
Nightkill immune: standard scum claim!

But I find it way more believable than Frodo for whatever reason.

Unvote Vote: Fania.
Unknown2009-05-15 06:12:38
I'm not nightkill-immune, unlike what Llandros claimed - which I've been finding fishy along with the 'I benefit people on death, but you don't know who' - I just have the chance of deflecting them. I was hoping to lay low and try to attract nightkill attempts (since scum probably wouldn't waste their time killing off vocal townies who might 'incriminate' themselves), but not claiming/half-claiming would probably make you lot lynch me. tongue.gif

Also, I'm just speculating, but in the case that Fania and Llandros is telling the truth, we seem to have a lot of protection from nightkills in general. Would this mean that we also have more potential nightkillers to look out for? I doubt there would be an imbalance this way given that Shamarah's running the game.
Shiri2009-05-15 06:30:23
Wait, Llandros claimed nightkill immune?

Anyway, there are PROBABLY just 2 nightkills, but more than likely one of these people (Fania!) is lying their arses off, and the scum quite likely have other powers too. I hope our investigator can come up with something useful before being killed, and then announce all the innocents they found on the way.
Furien2009-05-15 07:27:02
Llandros had claimed NK immunity so long as he made it past Night 1. Honestly doesn't make much sense to me, but there you go.
Rika2009-05-15 07:31:27
Keeping my vote on Fania. Her claim just seems a bit convenient to me. We've already had Myrkr being a doctor (albeit with a slight condition)
Arix2009-05-15 08:18:33
same here, not moving from Fania
Aerotan2009-05-15 09:25:41
Wait, I'm confused. Why do we need so many people with nightkill immunity..? I'm going to Unvote and ask this of Fania: Can you give the ring to yourself, or can you only make other people invisible..?
Unknown2009-05-15 10:59:50
unvote. Vote fania.

Frodo is a wuss.

I really think there's a possibility of her being a cult leader.

Giving the ring = invisibility = should really be immune to all night actions, not just night kills.
Unknown2009-05-15 13:21:08
Did she say that it only protected against nightkills?

I'm undecided on the matter - Fania did seem scummy, but I feel that if she were really scum, she would do better than claim that she's a doctor after the first doctor's dead. Like daganev said, it's a pretty ballsy claim.
Shiri2009-05-15 13:23:52
It's like the single most fragile claim in this whole game though. Myrkr's wasn't that terrible by contrast, we just had Balziar confusing us by going overboard due to his role, and Myrkr completely flipping out and being scummy for reasons not connected to anyone's role.

2nd most I think might be Llandros at this point since you & him would make two townie nightkill immunes (dubious) and we have yet to see or hear from anyone that could take advantage of his body yet.
