I'm thinking about making a special player committee to look at our aetherspace system. We had a rocking ephemeral who was gung-ho about revamping parts of aetherspace but, alas, that person had to resign. However, he left us with some good ideas which I've been thinking about implementing. In that light, I think a group of experienced and enthusiastic aetherspace veterans would be helpful to give input! Anyone fit the bill who is interested?

... yeah. I don't think I fit.
But if you can cut down on the spamminess when locked into a module as part of it, that would be a big step for me.

I'd be interested. One concern i have is being able to acquire ships of many different sizes so that I could see the different effects toward speed. Or I suppose, knowing the code for that would work. But still acquiring an extremely large sized ship to test with and ensure that it's possible to aetherhunt on a level high enough that it is worth going through the hassle to do as well as the cost.
I've been reviewing some of the old changes that were made as well, especially some of the nerfs of it, that I have opinions on as well.
And outside aetherhunting, I would love to make aethership combat more indepth and possibly even encouraging it more or giving more options to encourage it.

While we had some ideas regarding ship-to-ship combat, I think I'd want to focus on making aetherspace movement and monster combat more fun before looking at that.
(And, yes, Xenthos, we know you are quite the opposite of 'enthusiastic" when it comes to aetherspace... But we love you anyway!)

Well, I'm more than willing to offer my ideas and input to aetherspace. I feel I am knowledgable enough and that I've got more than enough experience behind the wheel amongst all the modules as well as actual normal bashing and the very best normal bashing.

I'd offer to help, but the last time I was behind a turret was several months ago, before my unannounced hiatus.
I would love for aetherspace to be more attractive an option though, as I've been genuinely interested since I first found out about it, back when I only had two characters.

I'd be willing to help in a committee. I've probably got more experience with ships than most people who just take commander for flashpoints. XD Other than that, it'd be nice to see aetherspace more interesting again. Used to enjoy it until it became a chore.

I'm interested.
(However, the next month or so isn't good for me to offer a lot of time; at work I'm in the home stretch of a 2+ year long warehouse automation project and working a lot of overtime and carrying a ton of stress. On the other hand, when I do have time off, I need something to do that's a nice distraction from it, so maybe I can still contribute.)

Same here, I've been Commander, Empath, and Combateer (Current). Wrote a system for it that included a separate window for SHIPT chat, auto empath (with priority), and of course a targeting alias, since making it an automated trigger was a no no. I really used to love aetherspace, spending about 6 hours everyday just hunting out there, then turning in all those particles when they were newly introduced.

I wouldn't mind helping out, if it were permitted of me. I've had minor experience turreting, one instance of piloting, and a bit of experience empathing.
