I have an idea for a Mafia game, but I didn't know who to ask about setting one up. So I thought I'd post my idea here. I don't actually want to mod a game, as I'm new to Mafia and thus not really qualified. But I can definitely help with set-up, and perhaps co-mod!

Anyway, my idea is...

Heavy metal battle of the bands!!

Even if metal fans are few and far between on this board, I think it'd still be fun. The players can all be different bands competing for a record deal or headliner spot for a tour. The Mafia players would be established, classic metal acts, while the townies could be newer bands looking to prove themselves. Roles and powers could be determined based on what uniqueness each band brings to the metal genre. Don't worry if you don't know heavy metal; I can help you there.

So...please tell me who runs Mafia games so I can take this idea to them!

You would want to keep that aspect of the game secret unless you wanted to have part of the game having people trying to figure out which person is death leapord.

Interesting. I had an idea for something similar, but just involving musicians, not specifically metal. I would've thought that'd be a bit limiting.

I like the idea of the following set up.

The town is given the exact names of all the people they need to find and lynch, but are not told how they are associated with each other or what roles they have if any. On top of that, each scum person is given a "stage name" for them to fake roleclaim with.

Town will have to find the scum via powers, behavior, and guessing which powers are associated with which scum bands.
