So as some of you may know already, I made a Mag alt recently. As I was exploring the city trying to do my History collegium task, one place piqued my curiosity. Little did I know just how awesome this place would be.
That place is the Magnagoran City Zoo. Why is it awesome? Because it has a carnivorous rabbit.
I don't have its exact description off the top of my head, but one thing I want to ask the Divine/admins about this rabbit: is it supposed to be a reference to the rabbit of Monty Python and the Holy Grail? If it is, then major kudos to the admins for sneaking in such an awesome reference. You guys have good taste. If it isn't...well, it's still awesome, albeit unintentionally.
Who knows, I may have to write a Bardic entry about its capture.

I don't think so, because it's purple or crimson like the other animals.

Back during alpha and closed beta, on the login screen under the ASCII Lusternia Age of Ascension text, there was the following quote "Your mother was a hamster and your father smelt of elderberries!"
This is also why NPC Villagers getting attacked call out over city/commune channels: Help! Help! I'm being repressed.
Estarra is a blatant Monty Python fan, as am I

Funny, I never see them say that...I've heard other players say that NPC villagers were getting attacked over the org channels, but I've never seen the villagers themselves say that. Weird.
Well, I too am a fan of Monty Python. Which reminds me, I gotta buy the boxed set of the series. Which I would do if I had money. Stupid money.

While we're on the topic, if a city is a religious city (like both Celest and Mag are right now), have at least 5 villages, have a male ruler, the ruler title is "King".
So one can legitimately say, "You're the King? Well I didn't vote for you." And have really not voted for the person.

I thought the city leader title was just chosen by the leader. Is it really dependent on the number of villages you have influence over?

Yes.

I was king once ... that was a long time ago ...
Razenth2009-05-17 04:28:19
I'm actually sad that when Celest had 5+ villages we never switched to Conquest and had an Emperor. It would've been... appropriate, I feel.

I'm gonna get started writing my Bardic entry tonight about the carnivorous rabbit of Magnagora. But before I do, I wanted to ask a question:
As I get finished with bits and pieces of the story, is it okay to post them up on the forums (I was thinking in the Creative Arts section)? To get feedback on it as I go along before I submit it. I wanted to make sure that's not against the rules, and hopefully it won't make my story open to plagiarism.
And before you ask, no, I'm not going to copy the sketch from Holy Grail for this story.

Yeah, you can post it fully or in pieces or whatever you want.

I think the admin have shut that stuff down from time to time because they're not supposed to know who did it due to bias issues.

I thought that was only for the Seal events? I've seen other people post their WIPs in the forums (though admittedly it was just for Artisanal and not Bardic, as far as I know) and not get shut down...now I'm confuzzled.
Oh, well, just to be safe, I probably shouldn't post it here.
Shiri2009-05-18 12:48:23
Well, I could be wrong, I may well just be remembering the Seal events and thinking it applies to everything.
Noola2009-05-18 12:57:08
If it's not allowed, you can always ask for volunteers to read it via PM or something. Course, then you run the risk of some of them never getting back to you. *peer Volroc**peer Bali*
