Spend an hour farming gold, buy credits, learn how to create vials.

That would involve me logging in and doing something other than planning to move again.
Krackenor2009-05-15 00:12:58
this would have been nice BEFORE my vials went bye-bye.

And don't you leave again Casilu!
Nariah2009-05-15 00:13:06
Now, if only we could do the same for letters...

Here's why this is good.

People like having pretty things. That's what Tailors do for the most part. Aside from greatrobes, they make pretty things.

Now Bookbinders can make pretty things, but they could never make them and make them sellable in a store.

Now they CAN make pretty things. And most of us would LOVE to customize our stuff, so much so that we'll spend exorbitant amounts of gold for it. Now Bookbinders have a way to not just make pretty things usable in a shop, but customize things in a small way. It's got a function. It's got Flavour. It's got fun. This is a great idea.

This is the only plus I see. When we said Bookbinding was in serious need of an upgrade, this... isn't really what we had in mind. We can sell stuff now that people may actually buy, but... let's face it, bookbinders are going to be selling a whole lot more of these than bookbindings. We're becoming glassblowers.

We've given bookbinders a boost, but we still haven't given Bookbinding a boost.

Customizable stationary would sure be a nifty bookbindy boost, IMO!

Not that I don't love this, cause I totally do! wub.gif

It would be a frilly boost. It doesn't address the rest of the problem that is bookbinding. At least it, however, is a boost to bookbinding itself instead of a pretty unrelated addition.

I guess I can compare to if Merian (which players seem to agree are the worst spec race) suddenly got a "boost", in that they were given a new custom emote that once a day gave them an extra 300 willpower. Yeah, it's a boost, but it doesn't actually address the problems with the race.

Everyone knows Bookbinding is mostly for RP anyway.

Well, I don't have a problem with frilly things. female.gif Sometimes, I quite enjoy them. Not everything has to be about how badass a fighter it helps you be, IMO.

The ladies are already planning a tea party.

No men allowed.

Except as honour-guards.

Tyngh will stand there with his axe and beard, mumbling about how he wants "a crumpet in one hand and a strumpet in the other."

Pssssshhhhh!

Everyone loves Tynghall! Except Dowapaa, Nalla, Ayisdra, all of Celest, most of Serenwilde, some in Magnagora...
