Level 8 regen is a lot. It's about 1,200 hp a pulse (~20% of my max health)
Shofangi/Tahtetso Lobo psymet monk would work for both.

Thankyou. One final question before I set about creating the character. What skills should I advance first and to what level, followed by the next skills.
Wouldn't want to pump lessons into the wrong area and ruin myself until I can get a credit purchase.
This is for a Shofangi.

Your collegium will provide you with helpfiles about how many lessons to put where. After that, ask your guild. The whole game ain't played on the forums, after all.

Some suggestions:
regen in harmony
kata up to shofangi spec
weaponprobe in combat
rift in planar, maybe then up to teleport
focusbody in discipline
when you have more lessons regeneration in psymet
I'm omnitrans so I never cared about skill allocation.
EDIT: And um...people can be nicer when providing tips. If you don't want to provide tips, then just don't post on the forums when someone asks. I come here to ask mechanical questions that you can't really get from IC interactions.

It's worth noting that monks are horrendously overpowered in PVP at the moment and everyone will call you a noob for using one. They are getting nerfed soon, though.

I was under the impression the forums were for discussion. If you hadn't noticed, we're discussing. I appreciate the fact you're trying to make, but I don't really like the fact you posted just to tell me to ask somewhere else.
Nice Wheel of Time ripoff with your last name though.
To everyone else who has provided input, you have my sincere thanks. I now have a gameplan and some understanding of what I need to do. Thanks for your time.

He said he wasn't getting credits yet, so I figured he'd have nothing to go off of besides his starting lessons. Nothing wrong with encouraging IC interaction.
Edit: Ooh, he doesn't even have a character yet but he's already showing a remarkable ability to misinterpret and accuse! Not to mention all the wooonderful advice I was giving one page ago. There's a legitimate reason to try and push people off the forums right thar.

EDIT: Nothing important. I'll keep my comments to myself.

Not particularly, old chum. I said that I appreciated the point you were trying to make, but I coupled it with a tiny barb of my own to let you know I didn't like it. Nothing personal nor even remotely hostile. As far as misinterpretation goes, perhaps it's not the way I see it, but the way it was worded.
I like your advice and thank you for it.

Also, if you are going for Shofangi, it is quite possible that you will find no one to help you further in the game, at least if you aren't American because too often when I am online, I'm the only one of the guild. (I hope there's no connection here...) And I haven't been too much around lately, being so tired with everything else, so I just suppose that the guild is empty all the time and everyone who creates a character stops playing right away because there's no one to talk to.
On another note, I think you should think about other things than bashing alone when choosing the guild (like, which organization and roleplay would be most fun for you). You seemed interested in warriors and Ur'guard especially, and Serenwilde and Magnagora can be quite different in many aspects.

I hear you. However, I've always been the sort of person who goes by the ends justify the means. If I have to be part of Serenwilde to get Demigod all the easier, I'll do it. The chances are, I'll more than likely enjoy it. I've always played the dark character. This'll be my chance to be a somewhat nicer personage.

Let's not forget a few more lessons in discipline for clotting. And probably insomnia.

That was my plan when I created this character for Serenwilde. Then the flowers and snuggliness took me and I don't want to leave anymore.
But more seriously, I understand and hope you'll have fun!

I like you very much. I assume that once I do that and gain the Regen, I should focus on my main attack skillset to increase my damage and accuracy?
Also, Kante. Thankyou.
Unknown2009-05-19 21:44:12
Apparently monk damage has nothing to do with the skillset and only the stats on your weapon (this is what i've been told)

Once you have Skive (the second ability in Shofangi), your offence for bashing is pretty much as effective as it can be. Enhancement in Psymet would help though, and Krakphet in Harmony, of the guild skills.

And now that I've got that out of my system: Forging in lusternia is terrible . It is not uncommon at all to spend 80-100 RL hours forging one damned weapon.
I'm on day 4.
